Sweaty, messy, happy as can be. 😄Day 2 of the #FlexyHipsAndHammies3#yogachallenge is Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana aka #handtobigtoepose in the Ashtanga method. Instead of shifting the gaze in the opposite direction I closed my eyes in Hasta Mudra. 😌 Meditation is such an important part of my teaching as well as my practice, and @the_happie_house space is a fabulous place to do it. 😊🕉🙏🏻🧘🏻♀️🗽
When I was 19, I started yoga. A year later, I began practicing Ashtanga yoga. It was the hardest challenge I have ever done in my life. Practicing Ashtanga brought me closer to myself and God. It led me to a beautiful path at such a young age. I have met wonderful and beautiful people in the past 6 years. And I want to say . . .
THANK YOU. .
Thank you for being a part of my journey. Thank you for the advice and love you have given me. Thank you for the support and encouragement you have showed me. .
I am truly blessed to have yoga in my life.

Letting go and awakening my true self, my connection with the divine. Releasing what does not serve me to breathe in pure joy with love and compassion for myself and others. To let my light shine and bring healing. To feel vulnerable and allow that feeling to bring growth and change.🥰
Not all who wander are lost...🐾 Some of us are wanderers. Wanting change, exploration and challenge. ✨
Some of us stay close to home. Continuing a tradition of stability and reassurance in a beautiful, crazy world. 🌷
Some of us are both, in one time or another in this ever revolving existence.
But both are needed to make sense of this sometimes whirlwind of life. We ALL depend on each other, in more ways than we admit to ourselves.
Stay humble. Let go of ego and pride.
Love yourself enough to let it go. Accept help when needed most, when you are shown unconditional love and overwhelming compassion.
Remember that feeling and spread it.
Return the blessings 10 fold, not because you "should", but because you can.
Love is shown in countless ways... Shine your love light bright, without hesitation from fear or pre existing experience. Open your heart... You will be surprised at how much it can fill up, overflow and spill into society and the world you impact.💓 Thank you ALL from the bottom of my heart for endless support, love and light!💕🌟 *Brand New Content on @boholivingnaturals.online
Two days ago in my stories I talked about how some of you have been messaging me asking me about discipline...particularly how to stay motivated?
And how to stay dedicated to a daily home practice?
I set a challenge for anyone who wants to join me to commit to 7 days, 1 hour a day, on your mat,
no distractions, no interruptions - just getting on your mat and being there for at least an hour.
There really is no other way to begin! It’s all about setting small goals and achieving them!
Discipline and motivation are just like muscles💪 the more you train them the stronger they get.
Don’t worry eventually you will be running toward your mat & practice 🏃🏽♀️ but that will take some time. Start with a week and see if you can just be there on your mat! Whether you are doing a strong physical practice or simply meditating and breathing make it about the time spent rather than what you are doing.
Those of you doing my Yoga Series One could also practice a different class each day. Please make sure though that at least one of those classes is a Yin class. Preferably two! Much love everyone 💙✨🙏 enjoy the coming week ahead let’s make it the best one yet ✨🙌✨ @lydiaxcollins 📸 @aloyoga
Nowadays still a lot of people think Yoga is only about the postures(Asana), the body. Actually Yoga has 8 limbs, only asana is about the body. All 8 limbs comprise of the concept Yoga, which is to build up the ability to harness the fluctuation of the mind. Practicing asanas ultimately is also for cultivating a Yoga mind instead of a Yoga body. .
Today I’d like to demonstrate how Pranayama (Breath, one of the 8 limbs of Yoga) can impact the heart rate and calm down our mind and body. As we all know, stress (commonly with shallow short breaths at the chest) can affect our nervous system as well as impact our immune system. So with proper Pranayama practice, it can stimulate our parasympathetic nervous system, which controls our body’s at rest, and eventually induce the “relaxation response”. Yoga gives us the tools that we can draw upon when faced with a stressful experience. .
In the 1st video, I did a series of Skandasana followed by 5 deep belly to chest breaths, of which each breath with a longer exhalation. And the next 2 pics show how effectively Pranayama worked for slowing down the heart rate within only 5 deep breaths.
Are you agree that balancing is a difficult part of yoga practice 🙈? I remember when I was first trial, it was so poor 😂😂(now better)-

i’ve had a few of you request for me to share some balancing tips, on here’s a little video on the tips that have helped me the most and balancing🙏🏻
One tip I did forget to put in there, is to try and relax your face while balancing in a posture. Ive found that Relaxing your face in any posture really helps relax your bodies nerves and mind and helps you be in the pose peacefully.
It works! I always do this😂👍🏻-

Yoga for better sleep! Full instructions below 👇 This sequence is designed to calm your central nervous system, relax your muscles, reduce stress, anxiety, and tension, while getting you ready for bed. It can also be used mid-day if you are feeling extremely anxious, stressed, fatigued, or burnt out. It will pull you out of the “fight or flight” response, stop your body from pumping catabolic hormones (that break you down), and make you feel better. Share this with someone that could benefit and save for yourself! Let’s get into it 👇
Forward fold - knees bent, feet at least hips distance apart. You can either place your hands on a chair, the floor, a yoga block, or grab opposite elbows. Eyes soft. Relax the face 15-120 sec
Table top twist - inhale lengthen spine, exhale twist. Keep the hips as level as possible and gaze at the top hand. Both sides x2, 5-20 seconds each. Feel the twist come from your deep core muscles while the chest and heart open. .
Reverse Table top - five options here! Two for the legs (bent or straight) and three for the head (neutral, chin to chest, or hanging back). Do whatever allows you to open you hips/chest the most and do what’s comfortable. Most of the time I prefer knees bent and chin to chest! 👍🏼 15-60 sec
Wall butterfly - feet together, back flat against the wall. Let gravity do its thang. Eyes closed. Face soft. Breathe into the stomach and low back, hands can rest gently on knees. 30 sec - 5 min.
Figure 4 - foot on knee, hands either behind the leg or on the shin. Take top knee away from face and flex the foot to protect the knee! Before you switch sides, get a nice hip opener by pressing the foot into the ground and elevate the hips. 20-90 sec hold each side. .
Knees/chin/chest - get into a ball and squeeze every muscle for about 10 seconds. Really focus on contracting everything you can. .
Savasana - expand and relax into your final resting pose. Do not skip this pose! It is very important if you want to keep the magical powers this sequence bestowed upon you 😉
Everyone can do morning yoga before working 🧘🏻♀️💕To start our day, yoga is the best choice 🙏🏻😊-

Home for the weekend & getting my brother into smoothies as well 🍌🍓🥭 Since moving out, it is so enjoyable to come back to our family home from time to time & spend time with the boys (including Fergie 🐶) & my parents (although they're not here now aha). Its such a different vibe now I don't live here. I was so desperate to move out just because I'm 23 and wanted my "own life" and space, and whilst I'm so grateful for the home I've created and the life I'm designing, it is so so wonderful to back here. I love it, & am making it my mission to really be present with my brothers this weekend because before long they'll be all grown up & I'll have missed my chance. ♡
So here's to the weekend!! Don't take your family for granted (no matter the circumstances) because you only have one & life is too short to take those who will always be in your corner for granted. Love yourself, and love those who are most important to you 💫💫 .
Yoga under the stars! But the real stars are my yogi friends April, who led the class and made me do a lot of new poses, and Cielo who helped me do a headstand for the first time! Thanks for the evening, ladies!
Perfection at its best, being in the present moment! :)
Surround yourself with people that support YOU and balance YOU!
