Don’t just bloom for anyone, it takes a lot to be let into your petals.
The second edition of my book "Soft Thorns" is now available at the link in bio, Urban Outfitters and Barnes and Nobles worldwide! ♥ bridgett xo
my beautiful thing today, is this.. omg. I legit DOUSED the grandpeeps in essential oils today, and it did help I swear, they were calm and serene for a little bit about to hit them up again. it’s can be so trying to BRING one’s best when it concerns little people and I adore them; I really do but jeezalou. mom’s ought to be given an essential oil take home kit when they take their babies home… wish I knew about them when my rugrats were wee. grateful I know about them now. there’s an illusion of control in the collective. we really don’t control as much as we think we do but if we can rock the choices we do have, like work tools for navigating the very tumultuous terrain of the human experience… we can at least make the road as smooth as humanly possible.
what other miracles are possible???? off to fling some oils on these bebe’s kids (ala holy water) lol
all those long nights with no sleep will pay off sis. stay down and stay focused. no matter who tell you things aren’t possible, they are .. sometimes people will tell you anything just because they don’t want to see you go further than them or have more than them. keep those lames out of your circle because they will be your biggest critics. nothing is a competition ladies because it’s enough for all of us to eat good !
The encounter was completely unexpected, and we hadn’t been a part of one another’s lives, for quite some time.
After she asked a very sincere question.
I remember, remembering you.
But now that time has passed.
That’s all I remember of you.
As I found myself, slowly walking away, from our brief encounter, I said to myself.
Wow, distance truly is something else.
It either makes the heart grow fonder.
Or it makes the heart forgetful.
On Race (Culture): I often laugh and say, "I have studied and speak the English language; however, I've discovered I do not think in English." Did Lincoln free the slaves? Or, is the following statement more accurate: Republican Statesman Frederick Douglass negotiated the release of hostages who'd been born into captivity, many among them not possessing enough knowledge of the world beyond the labor camps in which they were held, to know liberation was best for their well-being. Your thoughts?
I’ve been all over the place lately.
Realizing that my curls don’t have to be perfect and frizz free to be beautiful & I don’t always have to point out that my hair is still transitioning every time I receive a compliment on it➿〰️➰➿
I’ve been slightly absent from WLKD because... well, life.
I have some really good content coming in the next weeks + getting back to being more open and transparent on the blog! Still learning how to maintain a healthy balance of Lifestyle and Transparency in all my post. Going to get caught up & finish out March strong with all 3 parts of [ The Power in Having Good Girl Friends ] Series! Part 2 — Flawed Friends vs Undeserving Friends is going up tomorrow!
That’s the consistent message I’ve been receiving from people who have bought my memoir, Sex, Drugs & (mostly) Yoga.
