At the moment in Switzerland spring is moving in. The air smells very special and it always remembers me to hikes with my beloved Grandmother. She knew every bird sound and named every flower. I‘m sure she would have loved Rasta as I do. What is your spring memory?

Introducing @heidimaetrix - Ever since Heidi was a kid she spent 6-9 months a year on the road. Her family had a music and comedy show that she sang and performed in! So, the majority of her life was spent roaming from state-to-state in an RV and of course, that’s where her love of travel came from!
Capturing moments and places through photography is a passion that naturally found a home on Heidi’s Instagram. She has had her page for 5 years now.
Heidi’s favorite destination she’s travelled to is Sonogno Switzerland - a breathtaking car-free, stone village in the Verzasca Valley.
Heidi’s Advice: “If there’s something you really want to do, like travel, learn a hobby, turn your Instagram into a career. Whatever it is, just go for it! Everyone starts out as a beginner.”
Make sure you check out Heidi’s Instagram because she will be visiting the Greek Isles this summer! In the meantime, she’s working on creating more artistic editorial style travel images. She wants her page to be a place of beauty and inspiration!
I can’t believe it, but we’re heading back! Our first trip to Switzerland was nothing short of life-changing, and in less than a month @akennedy222 and I will be back in this little slice of heaven - but this time with skiing in mind. Can’t wait to see this same view with more snow! #InLoveWithSwitzerland

5 days before I went to Switzerland, I fell and broke my hand in several places. Thankfully, a flexible fiberglass cast let me travel, so I didn't have to cancel my trip. Initially, I was very disappointed by the necessary restrictions to my travel experience - no iceskating with the family, or skiing or tabogganing. 🎿⛷🏂⛸ Happily, there were silver linings... I loved watching my daughter master ice skating with the Swiss alps as a backdrop. And laughing at my husband's failed ice skating attempt, despite using a Zimmer frame type device 😂🤣😃😄. I also had plenty of time to take some lovely photos when we were in the mountains.
Sometimes life doesn't go to plan, so you need to adjust your expectations and go with the flow. Take time to appreciate what you have rather than what could be different. Glide through rather than fall down and give up.
