  • Let’s talk body shape vs being in shape. My shoulders are broad. My natural waist is small. My hips. My hips are giant. If you look back to my old pictures, I was just round. I didn’t know what my shape was because it was just covered in excess fat. I’ve come to find I’m very much pear-y 🍐. As much as I’ve wanted (read: needed in order to validate myself and establish self worth) the number on the scale to go down, I’ve been hovering around 175 for nearly two months. I don’t believe this is my body’s “happy weight”, but it’s time for some changes. I’ve been eating keto (90% of the time) over the last three months. Recently started cardio again but it’s not helping the scale budge. The first time I did keto last year I lost 20lbs with no exercise. Well. It’s time to change. My plan is to keep eating keto. I’m amazed at how much more awake I am and less bogged down (though those 230pm desk naps were 👌🏻). BUT. It’s time to start lifting again. I was going to wait until April but I started today. I was terrified to walk into my new gym and hit the floor. But I’m comfortable. I’m not as weak as I expected. It’s just like riding a bike and I’m happy. Here’s to body composition! (Warning: this is more to myself. I expect to keep weighing myself and not see the number change and then beat myself up mentally in future days.   • 2019 is all about doing more of the things I love, #personalgrowth, and achieving #goals. 
Along with career ambitions and travel dreams, getting back to #weightlifting is a focus this year and it feels ssooo good to be moving again after a couple months off. Week 1 is always rough, but despite the rust, this 48kg (90%) #snatch and 53kg (83%) #cleanandjerk felt decent. 5 weeks till I compete at the Occam Back Alley Rumble with my @fourhorsemensc team!!! Time to #focus and get #aggressive. 💪😎🏋️‍♀️

Some may say 13 is an unlucky number, but not me. Right now we're back in am endurance phase to help the muscles get used to time under tension so rep ranges between 13 & 20. Each week increasing the rep by 2 and sticking with the same weight. We will work this block for 4 weeks training push 2x week.
