Finally after a few weeks of having the model I can reveal my first ever 3d sculpted custom enemy I used for d&d.
A couple of weeks back I bought an @oculus because I fell in love with the idea of being able to be sculpt a model I could 3d print and finally paint.
I am so happy to say that this was my first be sculpt and it really turned out exactly as I wanted.
The story behind it for those interested goes as follows:
In the world of dungeons and dragons there are creatures called beholders that are born from the dreams/nightmares of other beholders. Because of this I wondered what would a super paranoid creature fear and the idea of being enslaved came to mind.
So if a beholder was created purely from the idea of being enslaved I imagined it would be a representation of shackles and chains, to be more precise it would be made of iron bands.
Naturally this then led to the idea that it could create limitless bands that when shackled to living entities would dominate their minds create a cult of mindless entities under his control.
I seriously had so much fun with this creature and hopefully will again in the future for he did escape to enslave another day.
Demon Hunter almost complete! Added the “Fel” using dropper bottle with airbrush highlights using stencils i printed on my printer. Little highlights and details and final clear coats to go. Beside myself how this is turning out. I designed it in Oculus Medium, printed on CR-10s. Painted with airbrush and brushes in acrylics. #3dprinting#airbrush#worldofwarcraft#fanart#demonhunter#vrsculpting

A one and a half hour freestyle sculpt done in MasterpieceVR this evening. It's such a sculptural feeling to work like this in VR 😊
Primera pieza impresa! 0,1mm por capa y a baja velocidad, ha tardado algo mas de 6 horas y salvo un pequeño problema con los colmillos, que de hecho ya me esperaba, estoy encantado con el resultado. Ahora a seguir imprimiendo!
Day 2 at @iamagco! Today, the recognized @marc.simonetti taught a VR Sculpting Workshop on Building a Full Fantasy Scene! He showed the class to quickly block out a dragon perched on a city scene, then how to bring it into Photoshop for a paintover. Some students didn't even want to move on to the paintover section because they were having so much fun with their scenes in VR!
Swipe to see the final scene, done completely in the 3 hour workshop while teaching a full classroom!!

The work on Megalonyx continues with more massive prints over here at @mach2arts
This large piece is only 1/3 of the pelvis. It took about 60 hours to print on our cr10s5.
For reference, that’s the claw that finished yesterday which was 15in tall. Next to those two pieces is 3 lumbar vertebrae that will connect to the center section of the pelvis.
Resin coating has begun on the bones for both strength and to add texture.
Day one at @iamagco in the books! The incredibly talented @fmacmanus gave a phenomenal VR Sculpting Workshop on Environment Design and Architecture. "With Medium, you can translate the concept you have in your head." He demonstrated how he uses Medium for his concepts, taught students to build their own scenes, then showed his process of taking his Medium models into Photoshop for paintovers. Thank you @Wacom for supporting us with the Cintiq Pro 16!
We can't wait for the next couple days here at @iamagco!
We’re looking forward to showcasing VR Creation Tools at @IAMAGCO in Paris this weekend! @OculusMedium will be hosting 3x3 hour VR Sculpting Workshops: Environment Design with @fMacManus and Building Fantasy Scenes with @marc.simonetti!
Also be sure to check out @goro.fujita's talk on the Masterclass stage showcasing Quill, a VR illustration and animation tool!

pelleas y melisande. The opera describes a passionate love triangle between Pelléas, his brother Golaud and the strange Mélisande. It is set in an imaginary kingdom called Allemonde. There are no time references, although its archaism suggests that it takes place in the Middle Ages.
Melisande has a long hair and his gait, as much as the book itself is of an ethereal being.
That is why in this piece I looked for a synthesis of the human figure, volatile, that represents this simplicity, that represents the subtlety of this Maurice Maeterlinck´s work. Organic line, without closing the forms.
Like Maurice Maeterlinck's own symbolism #masterpiecevr#digitalart#opera#maeterlinck#melisande#vrsculpting#mpvr#vrartist#vrsketching#artstation#artdirection#conceptart#vr#oculus
