  • The more high-tech our lives become, the more nature we need

We have a human right to a meaningful connection to nature, and we have the responsibilities that come with that right. Many people today support the notion that every person, especially every young person, has a right to access the internet. How much more should every person have a right to access the natural world, because that connection is part of our humanity?.

  • Greetings from Hong Kong! 🇭🇰 How incredible do the streets of Hong Kong look? 😍
Here for the next week with @discoverhongkong and @tripotocommunity and super stoked to finally be exploring a place I’ve been wanting to visit for many months now.
If you have any recommendations of things to do/see/eat while I’m here, let me know. 🙃 And keep an eye out for my stories to see what I’m up to here! 🤗

  • This is us, making vain attempts at a perspective shot because it turns out that is what one does in salt deserts. We are terrible posers, as most of you might by now. So, bear with us will you?
.
.
The salt desert in Ethiopia stretches across North East of the country and into Djibouti - its neighbour. It remains the only source of income for the locals in these parts who brave average temperatures of 56 degrees in the summer to survive. The miners who do all the dog work earn as low as 3 rupees per block of slot while the camel owners who transport the blocks earn 50 bucks, more than 15x. But the owners walk their camels over 14 days from the desert to the nearest city. Talk of inequity amidst inequity. .
.
.
If you ever make it to this part of the world, do care a ton of stationery like pens and colour pencils as the most basic things can be really expensive and impossible to find here. Life's difficult in these parts beyond my words can describe, so what's the least we can do?Go visit them and contribute to their economy.
