Perhaps spring has finally sprung? Fist time in a while working the ambulance when a winter jacket is not required. #EMS#staysafeoutthere

Contamination reduction isn’t just on your person. @flashpointequipment utilizes @firewipes to clean all of our monitoring and live fire equipment to reduce exposure to our instructional staff moving forward.
Final avalanche level one field session for this season produced by SCSAC and the @natlskipatrol last weekend. Be sure to watch for our courses next season. And a big thanks to all of our instructors and students. @jakecarp pictured here discussing snow pits.

Snowpack Summary March 22, 2019 Posted by Allen Giernet @ 6:30am This summary applies to backcountry areas only. The Bottom Line – Avalanche danger will be low and become moderate today
General Summary Avalanche Problem #1 – Loose Wet avalanches will become possible as the day progresses on Southerly aspects especially with solar exposure due to the warmer afternoon temperatures expected. Avalanche concern will progress from East through South to West through the day due to warming temperatures. Fast firm conditions will be likely every morning on all aspects at all elevations due to overnight temperatures below freezing. A slip and fall could lead to a slide for life scenario. Be aware of your surroundings, especially whats below you. Bring the proper equipment and know how to self arrest.
Always practice use of avalanche skills when entering avalanche terrain and on steep slopes. Travel with a partner, use proper safe travel practices and carry a beacon shovel and probe. Most importantly know how to use them! 📷@joshuajsprague visit the avalanche center for the full summary. #winterinspring

I am so guilty of putting myself down when I struggle. I feel like a failure, or I let my people down, or I’m not good enough to continue.. all that BS that on a normal day I would kick to the curb and not even think twice about.
But this winter has SUCKED. crappy weather, no sunshine, limited activities, and being home with the littles not being able to go play outside, makes for a depressed momma.. so, it’s time. Imma put my big girl pants on, rub on some wild orange, motivate, and cheer.. and I’m gunna kick those blues in the butt!
Don’t give up on yourself when times are hard, we’ve all been there (um hi, me lately) when things just keep going wrong, money is tight, things break, or your family gets sick.. just remember this one thing.. “just because you are struggling.. DOES NOT mean you are failing.” Im not sure where I heard this but when I did it hit my gut hard, and I realized I was not being the mom I needed to be to my babies. So as I have to remind myself constantly.. so can you! I BELIEVE IN YOU! #dontgiveup#ibelieveinyou#wintersucks#utahweather#whereisthesun#doterra#essentialoils#staysafeoutthere#oilschangelives#tinmanoils#oilme
Shrewsbury’s very own lake complete with top corner swimming swans. I know we all find it very fascinating but I’d like to spare a thought for the people who are battling to keep the flood waters out of their homes and businesses and for those working hard on the flood defences. Yes we’re all marvelling at the spread and power of the water but for some people this just means an expensive and laborious clean up job. #staysafeoutthere#riversevern#flooding#shrewsbury#shropshirelife#riversevernflooding@envagency#march2019
