Week 3 - Day 1 (February 25): Starting to understand some of my issues, but holly shit, you’re starting to see them as the weights increase. Looking back in these videos, I’m not sure how I feel about them. There some good and some bad, but I’m satisfied with where the progress is heading.
Mid-thigh Hang Muscle Snatch + 2 Overheads Squats @ 44kg
Mid-thigh Block Power Clean + Clean + Jerk @ 79kg
Front Squat Single @ 130kg
Back Off Double @ 115kg
Now this is how these should look. This is post-proraw hype. But also I deadlifted a car and set a rowing record at the festival so I wasn't super fresh either. Really happy with how deads are moving. Time to increase the weight.

5x10 squats (first 2 sets warmup)
Face says it all. This day has been IMPOSSIBLY long, especially considering it was just a teacher workday (school resumes tomorrow). It's 10:15, and I'm still staring down a pile of work. 😩 BUT... I still forced myself to the gym for a quick half-hour #legday workout. I pushed hard and kept in constant motion to make the most of every moment. I added squat jumps into the mix and forgot how much I hated them (they buuuuurrrrn!). I wasn't going to do cables tonight, but so many of the machines and all of the benches were taken, so I finished with several sets of those. I'm including a video I took of Nikki attempting one of my new favorite moves. I like to call it the "skater jump" move, because it's the same motion required for so many of the jumps. I can tell which leg was my jumping leg when I do it because my balance and motion is a million times better than the other side. Nikki, however, struggled a bit with this, not being used to this movement. 😊 #practicemakesperfect
