I am so overwhelmed by all the amazing and beautiful messages from my last post. it is hard to not get caught up in it all, but I truly think when we are our true authentic selves that is when we are best received!
I think sometimes it is easier to be cheery, shy away from the changes and growth and go on about how wonderful and great and easy it all is. But that has never been my style and I have always tried to be transparent and real and share who I am, along with all the daily musings of being a mom, entrepreneur, partner and loving breathing human. .
Progress shot and mood lighting ✌️I am loving the feel of this floor. It just feels calm. Can floors feel that way? Our old floor was red and shiny and it felt harsh in the artificial light. I got the idea for this lamp from @nestingwithgrace
She is one of my favorites! I get so many useful ideas from her and I love how hygge her home is. Am I saying that right? 😂
William does not dig the new floor though. He says the floor used to look like lava which went with playing the game 'the floor is lava.' I never played that at home. But I did at stores when they had checkered tile. 😁 Still do sometimes. 😆 Did you ever play that game?

Maaaan I love Canal Street Market and Mission Ceviche. Hopefully we walked enough to offset my food tour!

Worst picture ever, but the whole episode of our mini mob tour was so funny.
We told the car service guy where we were going and that we would be at each stop approximately 30 seconds. He shook his head and said "I know those addresses. Have fun." Lol
The dispatcher, Bucci, called the driver with the price: OK THE GIRLS WANT TO GO TO WHERE THE MOBSTER GOT KILLED. THAT'S $15. THEN THE GODFATHER HOUSE. $9. THEN BACK HERE. $14. OK? OK!
Driver: THANKS BUCCI. and to us: CRIME DOESN'T PAY.
UPDATED: That guy's house is not a mansion. It's kind of a not very big dump on a modest street, not one of the legit Mob Wives mansions like these on Benedict Road. We drove past it twice, because we couldn't believe that's where he lived!
Driver: I DON'T EVEN THINK HE HAS A LAWN GUY!
Sorry, but I missed the picture of the giant tacky mansion with life-sized gorilla statues in the yard.
Saying goodbye to Manhattan with a Manhattan. See you in a few months!

Mr. Peppermint, Muffin and Alice. I sold this painting at auction in Massachusetts. If you happen to come across it, that guy is Jerry Haynes. He was the first person to report on the assassination of JFK in Dallas. He was well known for his weekend morning children's show, and his son is Gibby Haynes of The Butthole Surfers.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT: Canadian Museum of History (pt. 5/6)
Beyond the myriad of fixtures required, this type of project comes with its own set of challenges! One of them is using LED technology to recreate the warmth and subtlety of halogen, as LEDs are often too bright for the more subtle needs of a museum. .

Bros in Bluebonnets 😂😂😂. This is my cousin's wife's brother. He's an actual cowboy with a trailer on a big ranch. His recently deceased cutting horse was named James, but this cowboy is named Hornet 😂😂😂.

The grey suede faux finish is gorgeous but hard to touch up. You can see the new color on the right going up. The suede walls looked good for about 6 years of kids and dogs and life!

We are unintentionally extreme once again. She performed some of the same songs with the tiny middle school choir and for 1800 people with Jubilant Sykes.
