Art Series: Evolution
Degunk (before painting): i’m getting a sneaking feeling that my soul is letting go more and more of that which does not desire to be in my space. The letting go hasn’t brought the peace of relief that is so glorified by those who preach sloughing off baggage. Putting it down requires re-balance so I do not topple over from redistribution of weight. This requires energy. I look forward to replacing and replenishing energy that will uplift and drive me.
Intention: I welcome the wariness as my body lets me know what I need. I affirm that I still have things left to contribute. I strengthen my commitment to my health by making choices that align with my vision and deepest desires. I am in alliance with myself. .
Witness (after painting): i’m enjoying the imperfections. The birth of something from wariness. Oceans, tentacles, and planets transforming into trees, flowers, sun, and cacti. My usual attempt to make something obscure turn back to nature. What are you telling me? Follow your heart. Take solace in nature. Use travel as an energizer. Trust the flow and play in the light. Remember a shadow is simply something that has fallen over something filled with color. Embrace the season. The easiness of oil crayons may add precision and bright color but the wet paint adds a messy richness and depth that a fixed color cannot achieve. Once the page is filled with color, it is impossible to go back to pure white. Processing and patience are required to become clean again. To start over with a blank slate. Can the world just freeze for a year? Or a few months while I slumber. My eyes are heavy and I feel like I could sleep until April. A sign of my labor of love and exertion I have poured into myself. .
🌷Been working on adding a little bit of Spring around here. I've been on a basket spree and love this one to put blankets in. No matter how warm it is I always find myself grabbing a blanket when I get to sneak in a nap.🌷
It's supposed to be near 60 tomorrow and my lilac bushes are beginning to bud. The snow is almost all melted and green grass is showing up!🌳
Happy Friday...any plans for tonight?
