  • Meathook re unlocked. This week I have been getting back control of my body starting with big improvements in my voice and swallow, and some noticeable improvements in my right arm strength at the shoulder. I’m still weak as a kitten in some movements; I can’t skin the cat, do a push up on my knees and still struggle gripping and opening things with my hand; but I am celebrating my abilities. We all take things for granted. 7 weeks ago I was told I may have to have a tube put in so I could eat. 😱

  • I gotta say though.....to walk with my daughters on their very first mainstream runway was pretty surreal and totally unexpected.  And to have @m.o.b.i.l.i.z.e as the designer was just 🤯🤯🤯
Seemed like it happened for a reason.  These two ladies and I have been through so many trials and tribulations in the last almost 16yrs and through it all, it was always just the three of us that held each other up when the nights were dark, silent or lonely.  We are known as Katz & her Kittenz.....well they are #Feirce #Strong #Indigenous #Intelligent #Resilient #Lionesses now!!! This moment has grounded me big time.

  • Cuando hablamos de #amorpropio muchas veces nos imaginamos frente a un espejo diciéndonos "te amo" o que guapetón amanecí, sin embargo las palabras no siempre son congruentes con las acciones.

Amor propio es tomar decisiones todos los días del resto de nuestras vidas para ser felices.  Tan fácil como cuando a un niño le ofreces helado de ron con pasas (ya se que habrá uno que otro que si le guste, pero vamos que niño escoge ron con pasas sobre chocolate, menta con chispas, algodón de azúcar, chicle?). Se supone que el #helado hace felices a todo el mundo no? Pero aún así el niño decide decir que #no y pasar de él. Es helado, pero prefiere no tomarlo, porque no le hace feliz.

Cada vez que te sientas presionado por tomar una decisión que en tu interior no hace #brillibrilli mejor pasa de ella. Se feliz contigo mismo y verás que pronto tu camino al amor propio irá que vuela.

  • I want to thank everyone who has checked up on me in the last few weeks and who have been worried about me. To be honest, I'm a little worried about me too. Yes, I am incredibly stressed about some situations in my job. But there are a few lessons that really got driven home for me this week. 1. If I am to the point where I'm crying daily and having a hard time being optimistic, it's time to change something -- it takes me back to a time in my life I'm not willing to relive. 2. There is NOTHING at all in this world worth disrupting the relationship I have with myself -- the one I've worked for years to have. And 3. I hold more power than even I realized. And it's time to use it. I'll be ok peeps, it just may get a little quiet for a while. 🤙
