A thousand storms brew within... Where will you go? Where have you been? •

Guys, it makes me super sad that lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of shaming and negatively opinionated critiques about people’s artwork here on Instagram. It’s made me reflect on the fact that no matter what we do in life, we will be criticized for it. You can be the best at what you do and some self loathing lame-o will be sure to fling crap at you. There’s no making everyone happy (that’s a ridiculous expectation). Some people out there are so dissatisfied with themselves and so self conscious, that they feel the need to lash out and project their insecurities on others. But instead of taking this to heart, take it as a cry for help, a need for validation, a desire for attention, like a little kid saying “look at me, I’m important!”. With this perspective, it shouldn’t bother you... One thing to mention is that this type of criticism has nothing to do with the amazing benefits of constructive criticism. Constructive criticism can be a game changer when delivered for the purpose of helping others grow and improve rather than belittle and bring down.
On that note; support each other. We’re all trying to get somewhere and I’d rather go with you than go against you. 👥❤️
“Our job is to love people. When it hurts. When it’s awkward. When it’s uncool and embarrassing. Our job is to stand together, to carry the burdens of one another and to meet each other in our questions.”

Lost service in Waimea Canyon and felt a little JOMO (joy of missing out). It’s so hard in our hyper-connected world to step away from my phone, laptop, notifications, etc., but it’s also so important to do so.
