But I wanted to have a fun caption for this one and I couldnt resist! 🤣🤣 so far I worked out, made a yummy breakfast,  washed my hair, relaxed a bit, and now I'm gonna buckle in for a little work and take a break with a movie later! Seriously. What this video taught me is:
1) I have a lot to learn. I can spot quite a few issues with how these squats went.
2) I’m still getting over the cringyness of videoing myself at the gym (but it was worth it to see what I was doing wrong and correct)
3) I like having someone to bounce ideas off of (gymbae can be male or female, just need someone for gym dates!)
/\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ I am still very new at this. I’m learning how to hold the bar lower on my back, learning how to squat with these great @adidas #lifters on, when I need to use a belt, and how to listen to when something is too much for my body.

Looking forward to what training will do and where it will lead!

  • Safe to say my 3RM is definitely no where near 195 anymore. Started with heavy singles for 6 sets and said ehh fook it and did a set of triples and that 💩 was easy. Feeling stronger than ever lately and eager to see where my 1RM currently stands. Soon 🤙🏽 #squats

  • Super late posting this, but New Year's day I had the pleasure of training with @jrstein18 and had a blast. I came in thinking we were gonna do front squats, but then ended up doing everything but back squats only because Jason felt like his movements were off. This session made me decide two things: I really would like to start working with a coach and I need to start keeping snacks in my gym bag 😂 I was really impressed that Jason even had pointers to give me on my deadlift. My deadlift is, in my opinion, my best lift and I always get complemented on my good deadlift form. At least, conventional anyways. We're not gonna talk about sumo 😂 but that really just goes to show that no matter how good you are, or how good you THINK you are, you always have room for improvement. It's important to have people in your life who are gonna build you up and help you grow.

  • Trying really hard to remind myself that not everyday will be a good day. I really wanted at least 10 reps for this AMRAP, but I got 6 🤷 the set before this one had me worried about angering my SI joint, so I decided not to push it. Did some accessory work that didn't put too much pressure on my back, then did some stability/mobility/rehab work. Not gonna lie, I was feeling pretty discouraged after my squats, but I felt a little better when I went to do my rehab work and I noticed things moving better. Just trying to take it one day at a time and remind myself that my squats are gonna be super freaking awesome when I'm finally all better 😭😭
