Designed by Steyn Studio, Bosjes Chapel possesses a stunning, sculptural form that emulates the surrounding mountains in a remote part of South Africa. The undulating building is further emphasized by means of a strategically placed reflecting pool. The edge profile and roof shape is a modern interpretation of the baroque "holbol" gable, with a combination of outward and inward curvatures that result in a series of peaks and valleys within the roof itself.

This past week has a been a tough one for my home state of Nebraska, and there’s still a long road ahead for many. Extreme flooding has caused so much damage that people have lost homes, animals have been stranded, farmland and structures have been destroyed, and, unfortunately, lives has been lost. I am beyond thankful that my family is safe, but my heart breaks for those whose immediate future is unclear. It is always times like these that make me stop and take a good look at my life and what really matters. Would you be so kind as to lift up our state in your prayers? The great people of Nebraska are taking care of each other, and so many others have jumped in to help. It is greatly appreciated. 🖤
What do you think about right before a lift???
I’ve been going through a crazy rollercoaster ride with my gym routine & my health, and I’ve been trying to find some balance. I know some of you are struggling with this seasonal depression and are stressed out because of school, taxes, boyfriends... Everything feels “off” right now, but whatever it is you’re going through, the answer is simple; CHANGE YOUR MINDSET. 🧠
Being an optimist can be hard for some people (🙋🏻♀️) and sometime you just don’t know where to start.. but here are some things that help me out:
Identify why you’re in such a negative mindset. Think about how many reasons and excuses you’ve created for yourself. What have you told yourself to prevent yourself from achieving your goal. 💭 Now imagine that excuse or reason was non existent... 2️⃣BE GRATEFUL
We often forget to be grateful. “Appreciate the fact that you have the opportunity to get fit. You may not have time to prep your meals, but some have no meals to prep. You may struggle to fit time in with school and work, but some would kill to learn how to read or find work for their family. Weights and cardio take effort, yet some cannot lift their weight from their wheelchair, let alone do cardio. You are privileged. Be grateful.” 3️⃣GET RID OF THE TOXIC
This made the biggest difference in my life in the past, but cut the negative bullshit. STOP making EXCUSES for the people that surround you!! It doesn’t matter if it’s your boyfriend, best friend or family member. Realize that YOU are in control of your life. They should not be holding you back. You DESERVE support and encouragement by the people you love. ———————————
Your life only gets better when you do. Work on yourself. Work on your thoughts, and the rest will follow. 💭 ✨

Standing tall for over 100 years
Structures survive a little longer than the people who build them.
Get it spectacularly wrong.
The ONLY way to figure out what’s really right is action. So, really, there is no wrong, but for argument’s sake...
Get it wrong.
Then, get over it.
Get over it by being ridiculously particular about what’s RIGHT.
Set what’s RIGHT as your new standard modus operandi.
Then, what is your best next step?

Me ayudas? Que nombre le pondrías a esta imagen? 🤔
I’ve heard this many times before, but when you stop and think about it, the journey really is the most significant part.
How we deal in the presence of trials and and adversity create character... Although, it is difficult to view objectively when you’re in the midst of a challenge that feels almost overwhelming, perspective is everything.
Accepting change as a detour on this journey, rather than a roadblock, has been crazy challenging for me.
In retrospect, most of the trials I’ve faced along my life journey have resulted in growth and change that I never would have sought out on my own.
Change can be hard, and venturing outside of your comfort bubble can feel scary and strange, but our attitude and perspective can alter the outcome completely.
Small goal for today; view obstacles on our journey as a step up instead of a stumbling block.
☝️Day to day, we let the smallest things drag us down, we replay conversations, we obsess over our less-than-perfect but human moments, we downplay our effort when we tried but didn’t quite make it. ✋Reflection is a great tool, but try the 5 minute rule. Reflect hard for 5 minutes, journal if you wish 📝, note the learnings (there’s always some) and then move on 👉. In 5 years, you’ll be looking back at the bigger picture progress, not the video that didn’t load in a presentation, the feedback session that didn’t go as expected or the TLDR 🤓email which has you down as the next owner of the BIGGEST project ever, when you knew nothing about it and already have too much on your plate 😩. Breathe, look up and move on 🏃♀️, there are great things ahead ⭐️ #perspective#leadership#tuesdaymotivation#business#work#motivation#motivationalquotes

Schöne Worte sind nicht immer wahr, wahre Worte sind nicht immer schön.
Daily #FirstTake Challenge: I’ve been working on the #goal as a #photog to push to set up my shots better and give up leaning on #tech that’s not #affordable or #accessible to most as well as getting back to the #pointandclick#noedit#letitgo commitment (and joy!) of my #film days. So here you go: 1st shot I took of this #set up with my #iPhone6 today. I’m allowing myself slight #perspective rotation, #exposure adjust and crop but no #filters or other tweaks (though I’m not totally anti-filter so long as it adheres to genre or industry guidelines on settings and people are #honest and #transparent about how they achieved the work they publish, but especially with new or mixed #media and for irony or conceptual effect/intent I think do whatevs and have fun for fucks sake!) and limiting to one free editing #app (in this case the #iPhone#editor ). Anyone else have recent art goals they’re working on? #Inspire me puhleeze! Love hearing and learning from y’all.
