I love the places you find randomly, on a whim. The less touristy stuff. The stuff you never expected to find. Like this field of giant boulders... We just saw a tiny sign on the highway, decided to pull over, then spent the next hour climbing rocks like little kids. It was delightful 🌞 #VanLife
I’ve decided that I will not be exclusively reserving my page for portraits any longer. Over the past few years I have done some extensive travelling and have taken thousands of pictures to document my adventures. This one is the first I’ll post of my last trip from New Zealand. Of all the places I’ve been in the last few years, this country is by far the most beautiful. I was so sad to hear the news about the mosque shootings last week especially having just been there and witnessed first hand how incredibly kind the people of New Zealand are, always laughing, smiling and living their lives to the fullest. My thoughts are with them ❤️🇳🇿
Six months into vanlife we found ourselves outside of Yellowstone National Park at the brink of winter, feeling lost, cold, and anxious.
Scrolling through Instagram, we found out about a van gathering all the way in Bend, Oregon called @descendonbend.
Without hesitation, Dustin fired up Irie’s old engine and we headed west.
Two days later, we were parked at the edge of a giant crater, encircled by Westfalias, skoolies, and all types of campervans.
That was the day we found community on the road - and it changed our lives.
Dustin and I are deeply honored to announce that we have officially joined @thevanlifeapp team as Directors of Public Benefit & Sustainability.
Our goal on this team is the same as our goal in life - to inspire environmental stewardship and create a space where we can have conversations about and share & learn from our experiences.
We’re excited for this new endeavor and to be part of an incredible team - led by two badass women, Bre @theladiesvan & Jess @van.there.
They and the rest of the core team - @van.project, @_empoweredxnature, @trav_travels_ - are all passionate about this community and dedicated to environmental stewardship.
Isn’t life weird and wonderful? One minute you’re lost and lonely, the next you’re delving deep into your passions with like-minded individuals - kickin’ ass & takin’ names.
Anyway, if you haven’t already, head over to @thevanlifeapp and give us a follow to stay up to date on some awesome things ahead 😉. We’re stoked!

Early mornings at Lake Matheson. Waiting for over an hour for the sun to appear over the mountains was definitely worth it ✨

The Taj Mahal beauty, and the romantic nature of its origins, draws millions of tourists a year to a grim little city called Agra. Some say it’s the most beautiful building in the world, and while I wouldn’t quite go that far, it is something you should see on your first trip to India. Not all Taj Mahal experiences are created equal though, as I recently found out.

Weird story from these days in Montenegro. We decided to go hiking very late the first day in the country. Started 14.00 and walked 22kilometers that day, yeah it was long dark when we got down.. 🙃Almost got blown off the mountain when we came up, the wind was so strong we were walking with a 30 degrees tilt 😂 Two days after we decided to go climbing. So we found a nice spot through our climbing app ( we use 27crags). There we meet some nice people from the States, which had lived in Tivat for quite some time and were the ones who had bolted all the routes. They told of a story that there was a man that would harrass them whenever they went climbing. Apparently he had some mental problems and would come running up to them and yell things like "you have eaten my goat" or "you stole my turtle skeleton". Anyways, when we were up at the climbing spot I actually saw the man (500 meters down the mountain at that point) walk over to the van and hit the tire 3 times before walking away. I couldn´t believe what I saw, and immediately concluded that he was stabbing something into our tires. I get really easily worried and started telling the others what i just saw. But nobody would believe me, with good reason I guess. Eventually we walked down and the tire looked fine. But, next day we wake up with a flat tire and three holes in it.... 😵 luckily it was a quick fix, and we are never going back to Tivat 😬
This guy has had his routine completely flipped upside down this last week, he’s missed naps, been surrounded by strangers and up WAYYY past bedtime every day, and he has been so patient and sweet and quiet through it all, so blessed by this little man!
Have you ever been in #Hallstatt ? It‘s a very beutiful village!⚓️

The oceanside has always been a place of renewal for me, and a place to rekindle my spirits. Being abroad, while an amazing experience, is very taxing, so this weekend's trip to the northern coast of Spain was exaclty what I needed. Where do you guys go to rest and reset?
