  • Did you know? The Philippine Eagle is also known as the monkey-eating eagle or great Philippine eagle. It is considered one of the largest of the extant eagles in the world in terms of length and wing surface. It is critically endangered mainly due to massive loss of habitat resulting from deforestation in most of its range. Do you know the two other largest birds? .

  • Minus the guaranteed frostbite, I would have had no problem sitting in this fjord while watching the aurora dance all night. Just a few nights ago, the lights lit up the skies above Norway in a magical way. I start my journey back stateside tomorrow and I’m already missing this place. #nikonusa #nikonnofilter #z6 #norway #lofoten #aurora #northernlights

  • Did you know 🧐? Black-naped Monarch have a call that is similar to that of the Asian paradise flycatcher, and in tropical forest habitats, pairs may join mixed-species foraging flocks ! Do you like its royal blue feathers ? .

  • One of them many astounding landscapes in the death valley, the twenty mule team canyon, named after 18 mules, and 2 horses carrying borax out of the death at the end of 19th century! What a place!

  • Right in the heart of the death valley is the easily accessible, and the pristine ripples on the sand dunes of mesquite flats! A 14 square mile area dumped with sand brought from all over the valley by the northerlies and the southerlies that are suddenly stopped by the Tucki mountais! Easy access also means hundreds of tourists, and their footprints on the sands, so keep walking towards the north east, over the dune ridges to avoid intense continuous dune climbs, till you are away from the crowd, and have the place to yourself! Golden hours, of course is the time you visit this place, but the cooling evening means you gotta keep an eye out for the quintessential sidewinder!

4th sand dunes I have seen in this country, and they are all stunning in a very different ways!
