Most of my audience isn’t Canadian and it’s a niche Canadian symbol post. After I got locked out of my account. This could be interesting engagement wise.

earlier this week I had the privilege of giving a lecture on #LMMontgomery ’s special connection to Muskoka and the world and work behind my favourite of her books - The Blue Castle
It inspired me to open the discussion up. Throughout April we will be reading The Blue Castle and I will be providing the historical, cultural and geographical basis of the work. For the uninitiated, we will work through chapters in chunks and I will colour in the context. No spoilers until the final week when we can approach the book as a whole. I hope to provide a flourished look at this underrated book that was revolutionary at the time of its publication in 1926 and was integral in saving Montgomery’s creativity and spirit. It captures a snapshot of Canadian women’s life at a turning point in the century and is one of the most delightful romances you will ever read. Join me to learn more about how The Blue Castle resonates today and learn about its setting and the inspiration of its famous author. If you have only explored Montgomery’s PEI you are missing out. Full details and schedule posting tomorrow ❤️🥰📚 #thebluecastle#onlinebookclub#lmmontgomery#muskoka#amreading

Running workshops these past few months has been just as beneficial for me as it has for my students. Putting together the various workshops has forced me to take the time to break down my workflow and routines in order to explain how I do what I do. It's interesting to stop and disect each individual step along the way. Teaching is a great tool for learning it would seem.
This weekend has been so magical. Spending time with dear friends in nature and relaxing in front of the fire with the sweet vibrations from the crystal sound bowls was such a blessing.
The energy of the land was so powerful and it reminded me to send gratitude to all those who have lived and cherished it before us.
