🐄 Butter has been named a bad guy for years due to its high fat content
I think it’s about time we stopped blaming fat for what high sugar and processed carbs did. Fat soluble vitamins are the most essential vitamins for our bodies.
Vitamin A in the form of retinol is the precursor to gene expression and differentiation. Our body literally needs it to make new cells. How can anything be more important than that
Quality is important. Butter from grain fed cows might not have as much or any D3 or K2. Try to get butter from high quality grass fed cows. If you can find unpasteurised butter it will be more beneficial. This is because it is easier to digest due to having the enzymes still intact. It is also a probiotic because the bacteria are still alive
Some people who are intolerant to dairy might have to avoid eating butter all together. However dairy intolerance can be caused by a Candida infection, even in a small scale. It might be worth it to try a Candida protocol using anti-fungals
These vitamins are the most essential vitamins found in butter however butter contains nearly every vitamin. It is one of the most nutrient dense foods in the world. If you can tolerate it you will be doing your body a favour
Vitamin K2 is also essential for good brain function and health. A deficiency in this could cause mental illness
Do you incorporate butter into your diet?
So, we have the text and some blank layout sheets. The start of the design for Felix the Fox and his Awesome Odd Socks by the inspirational @katie_houghton_mental_health. We can't wait to bring this fabulous story to life.
A reminder that it’s okay to have bad days. You are loved completely and fully. Please don’t forget that.

STEP 2 : W A T E R
Have you been drinking enough water? The benefits of drinking enough water are endless and it's really not such a hard habit to get into. 😊
Drinking a glass of water in the morning when you wake up can not only help to wake up your brain, it kick-starts our metabolism and other bodily functions too! It can make your skin healthier, hair, nails, teeth as well as everything internal. The more water you drink, the more easily your body can evacuate all the bad stuff it doesn't need as well, meaning you shouldn't retain harmful toxins for very long.
The best way to tell if you have had enough water is by checking the colour of your pee. If my pee isn't almost totally clear at any given time I will go and purposely have a large glass of water to even things out. Give it a try and see how different you can feel! 🚰
You can do it! And you are so worth the effort. You could even add it to your to do list for the morning if you have one, this combined with the no snoozing rule could really turn your mornings around! ❤️ #selfcare#mentalhealth#mentalwellness#drinkmorewater#happy drink #selfcarethreads#depression#anxiety#mentalhealthawareness#selflove#mentalillness#motivation#life#wellness#mindfulness#loveyourself#positivevibes#happiness#healing
Mountains and Molehills
Do you often exaggerate the risk of
danger? Do you often exaggerate the negatives?
Finding yourself minimising the odds of how
things are most likely to turn
out, or minimising positives in your life?
Things you can ask yourself to shift your thinking:
Am I exaggerating the bad stuff?
someone else see it?
What’s the bigger picture?

Heart beating faster. It's going to increase. Logic disappears faster than your heart rate. You're about to lose your shit. You know this feeling, it has become familiar. There may be tears but you didn't cry before this year. You don't know how to stop it. This isn't a panic attack, personally they're worse. This is anxiety. It's shit. Though it's a piece of my authentic puzzle.
Gentle Reminder: We're not all fighting the same battles but you're not alone in this war

This moment of darkness was taken months ago. It's still not clear why I captured it. Even to this moment it's not clear if it should see the light of day especially when happiness is the only publicly acceptable emotion to capture and share.
Maybe it's existence will help me to be more authentic to myself and others. Perhaps it's presence will help others to see it's ok not to be ok despite the flood of smiles we constantly scroll through. Possibly it can help someone to know we're not all fighting the same battles but you're not alone in this war.

Doctors like labels. People are afraid of labels they don't understand. Presently I'm learning the affect of being mislabeled.
Like metaphors? Fuel accumulated for decades. Denial was fire protection gear. Spot fires pop up every now and then but January provided the ideal catastrophic conditions. A ghoster was a match, surgery was the spark thrown into a perfectly imperfect mental storm.
Recently a lovely soul said she didn't want to pry or pressure me to share. I told her the same words to follow .... genuinely you can ask whatever you want. The only caveat? Don't ask a question if you're not prepared to hear an honest answer.
The more I talk the less secrecy. Less weight there is to bare. Feel free to ask questions but only if you can be respectful of my truths.
The revised label, and more fitting diagnosis, is PTSD and "complex PTSD" aka CPTSD. If anyone would like a link to succinct factual info please send a private message as the link does not work if shared publicly.

Twenty eighteen so far ... .
Hospital tally 27 days.
Body broke demanding emergency surgery.
Heart tortured by a southern state ghost.
Physically broke down losing 15kg in 3 weeks.
Mentally decades of fuckery fuel ignited.
The fog of numbness doesn't permit asking for help because it's not clear what is helpful. It's trial and error. Pity, pushing, positivity pleas, miracle diets, leper reactions or thoughtless suggestions are useless. Don't belittle the torment. Don't feed negative stigma.
Fortunately, not "everybody" knows what this actually feels like but you will know someone who does. More recently some days are better than others but there's decades of denial bliss and mental clutter that needs sorting. To do it right it's going to take time. Be kind. Be patient.
Why share this @elisabethlorn?
Personally it's a confusion outlet. It's lifted some weight and there's nothing to lose.
Publicly be aware someone's silence can be deadly. If this helps one person it's worth being open. Please listen for silent screams and thankyou again to those who heard and have helped to rewrite the remainder of twenty-eighteen.

RUOK? ⭐ I'm not coping ⭐
Three words. They were hard to say. Many didn't hear. RUOK isn't about the question, it's listening to the response.
ACTUAL RESPONSES to these three words?
🖤 "You're ok!"
🖤 "Yeah but are you coming to my birthday?"
🖤 "It can't be that bad"
🖤 "Why are you being so negative?"
🖤 "You look fine!"
🖤 "It's all in your head ... don't worry about it"
Thankyou to the special few who heard the silent screams for help. Thankyou for listening that day and everyday.

Due to the perfect storm of [email protected]%kery I lost over seven months of this year. Gone. A fog. Broken. Initially the ability to move, speak and function vanished.
Is every day now rainbow shitting unicorns? No. The difference? Not every day is brutal internal f#&kery. Some days are absolute shite, some nightmares are so graffic it's difficult to divide reality from REM. However, more recently there are more welcome days than woeful and that's progress! Previously none of this was shared but in writing openly I'm much kinder to myself.
So today I don't want to play and ITS OK NOT TO BE OK. Today I'm not ok but because of my amazing support crew and the reinforcement of medical support there's the possibility of tomorrow.

This woman had her shit together. She knew what she wanted and had a life plan on how to get it. One goal was to be true to her authentic self.
She's a debt free globe trotter with a coffee addiction and food appreciation. She uncovers travel tips and has a diagnosis of inoperable Wanderlust.
This woman will have completed post grad studies within 12 months and has worked her ass off to pay off the first degree.
She was in the midst of decluttering, learning the difference of quality over quantity and enjoys her frugal findings.
This woman experienced the joy and privilege of celebrating the weddings of her closest anchors and was entrusted to be a first time bridesmaid in a few months.
She doesn't do relationships nor does she take fancy to one night stands. Marriage isn't anticipated though a future without children would be incomplete.
Living in one of the most expensive global cities this woman has never been in rent arrears. No easy feat in Sydney, Australia.
This woman has worked 11 years full time in casual roles. Her thumb count of cancellations strictly limited to amusing medical morphine anecdotes.
She aspires to work in the Crown Solicitors Office Child Protection Division and establish a photography business. Yes both.
In just a few weeks instead of having her shit together it would all go to shit.
It's taken her over 6 months to function and moving forward @elisabethlorn not all posts will be rainbow shitting unicorns. Love it, hate it or something inbetween it this woman is trying to discover an improved version of who that woman I was.
