Hello Léo 🌱

It was a big day yesterday. We took Liam to a screening for getting prepped for Kindergarten. Sending him to school is something I’ve been in fear of for past few years of with his behavior/sensory/anxiety struggles and still having some big hurdles to overcome. So incredibly proud of him because he had to be without his daddy and I for an hour during the screening, which for Liam is a very big deal with his anxiety. He didn’t talk to them, which is a big struggle for him with other people, but he followed directions and didn’t meltdown🙌🏻. We got him a happy meal and took him to one of his favorite parks to celebrate after😃. Then he lost his 2nd baby tooth right before I put him to bed last night. Don’t know how he grew up so fast or how it’s possible he’s going to be 6 in July💔. I just love you so so much Liam Troy and I love watching your amazing testimony unfold as you grow. So thankful God have us you.
✨This quote has always resonated so deeply with me✨
I have shared it before, and I’m sharing it again because I feel like it’s a poignant reminder for those (like myself) who crave to “go there”, that not everyone is ready - or wants to be.
Both in our personal and professional lives, people will let you know (consciously or unconsciously) how far they’re willing to go, and how far they’re willing to let you go with them.
That right there can be challenging.👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
“…how far they’re willing to LET YOU go with them.”
It’s so important to remember that you might not be the hand they want to hold, or the one to take them through that door, into that new place, to that next level.
Even if you so deeply crave to witness that breakthrough, the bottom line is: it’s not about you.
I’ll be the first to admit that I can be stubborn sometimes.🙎🏼♀️
I can get that urge to push someone I care about when I see them on the edge.
*insert classic Jenny analogy*
It’s like that person who stands on the edge of the dock on a hot day, looking at the cold water, convincing themselves to just do it, to jump in.
Yes, it’s easy enough to just push them
and yes, they’ll be angry at first but grateful in about 3 seconds
and yes, we have all been there
YET, you’re robbing them of that conversation, those moments of inner dialogue that actually could amount to something much greater in the long run.
And also, needless to say, it’s THEIR CHOICE!🙏🏼
SO, when I have that urge to push, I have to remind myself that the edge IS the work.
What’s on the other side - that freedom☄️ that release⚡️ - is obviously incredible, but the juicy stuff is working through the fear, the block, the resistance.
And you know what?
Maybe they don’t jump. Maybe they don’t get to swim in the beautiful water. Maybe they’re happy warm and dry on the dock.
But MAYBE they do.
And frankly, it’s not up to you. Love them either way.💁🏼♀️💛
So in those times, if you’re frustrated because all you want is for them to just GO THERE, remember: people can only meet you as deeply as they’ve met themselves.
And (gently, kindly) stop making it about you.

came to 2 realizations today....I have the best job and I need this little dude named Oden
It’s finally garden planning time! I got the last of my seeds today @ngfarmersmarket (of course I have way too many now 😏) But how cute is the packaging from @annapolis.seeds?!
This will be our second year growing some of our own veggies. Are you growing any of your own food this year?
Несмотря на ледяной ветер, нам сильно хотелось весны на фото🌸 Моя вечная муза @_gagarina_ Спасибо, что всегда поддерживаешь мои идеи♥️

Reporting live from my home office: it’s time. I’m writing a book. Thank you to the people who made a point to seek me out and suggest this - like I said in my #TEDx : tell one woman what you think she’s capable of. Your suggestions can have the ability to help her envision herself doing something she (always) dreamed of.
