  • We put so much pressure on ourselves to be great that sometimes it gets in our way and we forget to enjoy the moment: Initially I wasn’t that happy with today’s performance but honestly it’s a step in the right direction! The year I jumped by triple jump pb I opened up the season with 12.48m. Today I opened up my season with 12.90m from behind the board and things are on the right track. It’s hard to remember that we shouldn’t get caught up in chasing numbers. I’m a huge victim of this and succumbing to nerves. Cheers to my best season opener and thanks to everyone who supported me❤️😊 LET ME KNOW HOW YOU DID THIS WEEKEND 😊

When I don't emulate Brother Ali, I'll channel the late Bruce Lee or the late Yokozuna Chiyonofuji.

Sumo haru basho just ended today. Last basho of the Heisei Era and true enough, Supreme Greatness Hakuho won, 15-0. Day 15 was battle of the Yokozuna gods (Hakuho vs. Kakuryu) and by God, what a match it was! I await for the day Kakuryu will rise from Hakuho's shadow, if that day will ever come. .

Started running here. Not a fan of long distance and flat terrain running as I normally do sprints back in KL. God, I miss the uphill and downhill and trying to catch up with the police squad when they do their morning run. 
But, there's a new goal in my mind: diversion channel. I've got my eyes on you. .

Goals goals goals. Ambition. Ambition. Ambition. I've been told countless times my ambitions are way out of my reach. Two, which I remember until now: .

"Aren't you being too overambitious?" (Back in high school)

"Some people aren't meant to fly." (Back in London)

  • Une sortie avec de bonnes sensations 🏃‍♀️mais le contrôle de ma respiration un peu juste pendant les côtes 😪. Par contre des jambes légères comme une gazelle merci le eatfit 🏋️‍♀️ mais la principale différence c’est que désormais je prends un petit déjeuné 🥗avant d’aller courir ! Chose que je ne faisais pas avant de peur de me sentir lourde 🤸‍♀️ ! Et ça change tout niveau performance #justdoit #running #instarun #happyrunningcrew #runnergirl #sortierunning #trail

  • Today’s post is not cashmere related.... well not entirely, it did start with a conversation in store! 
A customer, I greatly admire was in store with her husband, she had been very unwell thankfully has now recovered.... we were chatting, and the conversation of sugar came up, she explained how she and her hubby quit sugar, how bad it is for you, how it’s as addictive as cocaine and the benefits of quitting.. they encouraged me to try it.. I saw two bright eyed, happy, healthy people standing before me and thought why not!

I am a self confessed “sugarholic” ... so I was going to give this a go... I chose the date the 6th March, the beginning of lent... Honestly, I wasn’t sure i could do it.. remember I am the woman who would have two bags of crisps and a crunchie for break.... and sometimes for lunch..... I would also have two loop the loop ice pops every single night before bed! 
The 6th arrived, I was prepared (for me it’s always better to pick a date as it gives me time to prepare myself) ... today is the 24th of March, 18 days later, I was told if I could get through the first 10 days, it would get easier, It did, who knew?

I have so much more energy... my own family have noticed my “Duracell bunny”  like behaviour! I feel less “foggy” shaper thinking and I’ve lost 2 kilos! 
I’m not super strict on myself, i was recommended to use “agave” in my tea... a honey that can be used by diabetics I was told... and even the tiniest amount gives me the sweetness I craved! I also still eat fruit.... Other than that no chocolate or ice pops have passed my lips... I have also developed a superhuman power... I can now sniff out a chocolate bar in any room! 
The point of this ESSAY, it’s Sunday, yes, I’m early for motivation Monday but followers on my insta stories were enquiring as to my progress and I thought I’d share with all today ... The picture is of me on my fiftieth birthday with a blue Bon Bon in my mouth (another of my go to yummies) what Ive learned is “sometimes you’ve just got to get out of your own way and do it!” Whatever it is just do it! Good luck...
