  • What a strange feeling of a long forgotten adventure when I engage into a drawing with ink!
I Just simply can’t get enough and so fascinated by what’s possible.
To produce final piece doesn’t take long - it’s made of fast strokes of brushes on thin rice paper. But it take years of practice to produce one perfect brush stroke.

I always absolutely loved Japanese art, like cherry blossom type of drawings.

Last weekend I went to Koshu Japanese art #workshop that is run by amazing artists with huge experience behind her shoulders - @akemilucas
The drawings are done on thin like a tissue type rice paper .. so one not careful (not mastered) strike destroys the piece within seconds.
Yet, It won’t let you to hesitate.
It wants confidence, determination and undivided focus.

It requires immense precision and tonnes of practice. Yet, magic happens when all components are dancing together - an artist mind, the brush, the ink, the water and the paper... What a brilliant discovery ❤️
On first picture Akemi shows me how to master brush, second picture shows 10 percent of trial drafts 😁
And last one - “a masterpiece” 🥰 what was created from that day. Bamboo shots🌱
