Week 11 - 32 LSR - aka almost 36k ✅From Burnaby to UBC
Overall feels: 🤕
The run started off great until we got lost for a 3K detour, phone battery drained to 30% when trying to pull up google map to find our way...and the grand finale, climbing the famous camosun st after running 28k was the cherry on top 🌚👌🏽. I thought we’d be done soon after that but little did I know it would be another 6k before we hit destination😭😭 Want to thank my running buddy for not pushing me off the street when I kept asking him “are we there yet”😂 Definitely the hardest and longest run to date-filled with mental, physical and directional challenges but we did it😩
Huge Shoutout 🎉 to @rrburnaby - the best running community any runners can ask for! After the destination run, volunteers offered to bring our gears to our finish point so we can change and to drive us back so we didn’t have to find our way back. The excitement they showed when we finished was just so amazing! 😩😍
Nutrition: 3 🍓 gu chews and 250ml of fruit punch flavoured nuun.
Foot condition: 3 blisters🤦🏻♀️ received some advice from diff runners this week - 1) rub Vaseline all over your feet/inbetween toes 2) go up a half size on runners and make sure shoes have shoe box that is wider. .
