  • God is removed from the Temple and placed inside the Mikoshi, during this time the temple is just another building because god has now left it. God is carried around the city to spread good luck and fortune to those perhaps unable to visit the Temple, if they are sick, afflicted or just too old.

The mikoshi is tied to four extremely heavy planks and is shaken vigorously. It hurts a lot to carry it's heavy heavy weight in the 40plus degree heat of Tokyo's summer.
I carried with this group when I lived in Tokyo before and last year I joined them again to film the experience
The final photos show God being returned to the temple and the white sheets are so that no one may see God. If you were to see him you would be blinded. Even in the Temple God remains covered.

  • each persons life - each life form, in fact - represents a world, a unique way in which universe experiences itself. and when your form dissolves, a world comes to an end - one of countless worlds. we all have our own little worlds based on how we have been grown up, how our belief systems of what is possible and what is not has been formed. your world is your world you can shape it and change it how you like by the power of your mind, emotion and thought. in order to do that you must go within, no distractions from outer world, go within, it is a lonely road to walk, but at the end of this road there is something much more greater expecting us and it is the person who you have been looking all of your life - you yourself ❤️

  • Nagori Halwa.🤤🤤
Kya aapne kabhi Nagori halwa khaaya hai ?
Tag friends.❤️
.
✔️Where: At Shyam Sweets , Chawri Bazaar, in Old Delhi, .
.
One of India’s best oddball savory-sweet pairings, and a popular Delhi breakfast (especially in winter), bedmi-aloo and nagori-halwa are two distinct dishes eaten together. The former is the savory part: a puffy, hefty, deep-fried puri-like bread made of wheat flour, spices, and dal, called bedmi, which is served with a spicy aloo sabzi, or potato curry. The latter is nagori, a small, crispy, crumbly puri made with suji (semolina) and ghee, paired with suji halwa, kind of like a sweet, dry porridge likewise cooked in ghee. So what do you do with this stuff? Take a savory bite; take a sweet bite. Some people like to stuff some halwa into a piece of nagori and then dunk that into the aloo before eating. Such mix-and-match flavor combos may challenge your notion of what constitutes a balanced breakfast, but if you’re like us, you’ll welcome it with open arms.🤤😍 .

  • Rishikesh is so popular all over the world because of its energy. Lots of yoga centers, ashrams ( check pls my next post to know what it is) and retreat centers are located here. Teachers are sharing their spiritual knowledge. Namaste.
