I am up early and super excited for day 2 of the children’s nutrition conference I was at yday 🙌🏻 I sat in on some super interesting seminars yesterday and learnt a lot about what makes children fussy eaters and how we can help them and I feel super empowered to do some research-based good in the world 💪🏻 fuellin’ my brain up with a big bowl of MAPLE OATS this morning > 1/2 cup oats, 3 medjool dates (chopped), pinch salt, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tbsp flaxseed + 1 cup soy milk ~ cooked over a medium heat until creamy and topped with tahini, maple syrup and chopped toasted hazelnuts 🙏🏻 okay bye catch u all laterrrrrrr x

Unfortunately this picture is a little out of focus but it captures the final hours of pregnancy and a moment of great change. (I still can’t believe James was in there. 🙈) This is right after my water broke and labor started. Only 23hrs to go from there. 🙄
These last few days I’ve been thinking about just how much I love my boy and how I love him more every day but how I didn’t feel that way when he first was born. Sure, I was so happy to finally meet him and I felt a huge sense of responsibility and fierce loyalty and sense of wanting to do absolutely everything I could to protect him but love, honestly that took a little bit to grow. Both David and I didn’t feel that “omg NOW I know what true love is” kind of feeling and I think specifically David was quite confused and thought something was wrong with him. It’s not like we didn’t feel anything but it wasn’t that great sense of overwhelming love that you hear about a lot. Maybe, at least for me, it was partly due to the fact that labor was really intense and I was just so relieved it was over and because we had opted for a c section in the end the whole process of meeting him and wasn’t at all like what I imagined. In the hours, days, even weeks after, I didn’t just feel blissed out (though of course that too!)- I was also extremely exhausted, overwhelmed, sad, in pain and kind of traumatized in a way about how it all went down. I think all that took up so much room and it was only with time as I recovered that there was more space for love to grow. Anyway. Now I’m fckng crazy about James and I thank the universe every day for sending him to us but I guess I just wanted to share that it’s also okay if it takes you a minute to adjust to all the changes, also emotionally. .

The hardest thing for a lot of people incpuding me that prevent us from getting started on our goals was knowing that after Day One, nothing was going to happen... even after week one or month 3.
We are stuck and obsessed with instant gratification... This “quick fix” or “overnight success” mentality can make us waste a ton of time in starting to work on our goals... And this mentality can also make us anxious, depressed, angry and self loathing... The “quick fix” or “going viral” mentality is extremely harmful to the human psyche... Instead, let's choose now to practice patience in everything we do... The amount of anxiety I no longer feel now, is amazing... Don’t get stuck the “one day” mentality! Start today and make it “day one”! One day at a time... See you monday fam

In search of the perfect Mhaa Laa หม่าล่า in Hua Hin. 🍢🍢 We are fascinated by these "skewers of wonderful" so much so that we are limiting how many nights we go out. They seem to be popping up everywhere now and they all have their own style. This one is on Neabkehardt Road near 31burgerhuahin branch & Surf Surf Bar at Hua-Hin.
Their marinade was less spicy, but very flavoursome. They start pretty early at around 4pm, though many don't get going until 8 or 9pm and go well past 1 or 2am.
