  • I’m not feeling very worky today.⁣

I get asked a lot how I manage three jobs? And there really is no magic behind it. I’m always proactive and on the go. However, I’ve had a few challenging weeks. Feeling a little exhausted and uninspired. But instead of curling up in a corner, I’m treating myself to a facial this morning and maybe a massage later this evening. A little self care to keep me sane. What are you doing today?⁣

  • I had such an amazing weekend with the Gymshark family and I absolutely loved the pop-up store in Amsterdam. I’m so grateful and happy that I could join my bf to meet the athletes and the team, they are absolutely amazing and I love them all! ♥️♥️

Here at Optimize we make sure to assess before we treat you. This video is part 3 in the video series with Greg and his right knee pain. After we assessed his knee and found the inability to rotate his knee inwards and full straighten it we decides to use this mobilization. 👐🏾🦵🏾⠀

After stretching the knee in the SPECIFIC direction it was lacking we decides to get some quadriceps activation to retrain this movement for Greg and maintain the improvements we get with the stretching. ⠀

You can see that afterwards his knee was able to straighten almost fully while standing his pain with squatting decreases significantly.⠀

  • 🖤 I usually challenge myself every year with something that will teach me to be better disciplined. Discipline I struggle with because I’m a natural rule breaker. A lot of us are. Last year I cut out meat for a whole year and this year I’m planning to do something a little tougher. Just to know that when I need to I can be disciplined. Sounds weird but I enjoy it. They say on  average  it takes 66 days to develop a new habit (2 months) so I usually start with that in mind and make that my first small goal. My focus right now is on health and fitness starting a detox/cleanse today. I’m doing this with a few friends so it should make it easier. We’ll see how this goes ✌🏼

Взрослый организм без иммунитета к ветряной оспе нелегко переносит вирусную атаку. Человек испытывает общую слабость, лихорадку, боль в горле. Температура тела стремительно понимается до 38ºС. На любом участке тела, не исключая волосистую часть головы и слизистые оболочки, образуются высыпания в виде розовых пятнышек. Вскоре плоские кружочки поднимаются над поверхностью кожи, приобретая круглые очертания. В тот же день мягкие бляшки превращаются в прозрачные пузырьки, окруженные узкой розово-красной каймой. Через 2-3 дня водянистые волдырьки подсыхают. Эпилог болезни - желто-коричневые корочки, исчезающие спустя 6-8 дней.
Вы будете испытывать мучительный зуд, но ни в коем случае не царапайте злосчастные волдыри. Если пузырьки не расчесывать, они бесследно пропадут после того, как отвалится покрывающий струпик. Повреждение волдыря может привести к образованию шрама и даже вмятины, в которую без труда поместится спичечная головка. Глубокие последствия не сгладит даже время. Кроме того, расчесывание пузырьков открывает дорогу инфекции. У нетерпеливых взрослых пациентов нагноение может привести к бактериальным осложнениям. Еще одна угроза - ветряночный энцефалит - воспаление мозговой оболочки. У больных ветрянкой детей вероятность нагноения довольно низкая.
Для облегчения зуда используют обтирание кипяченой водой с уксусом. После этого пораженную кожу можно обработать тальком. Пациентам с ветряной оспой показан постельный режим в течение 6-7 дней. Для того чтобы ускорить превращение пузырьков в сухие корочки, следует обрабатывать их 10-процентным раствором бриллиантовой зелени или марганцевокислого калия - обычной зеленкой или марганцовкой. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

  • Каждое третье соообщение в Директ и первые слова моих клиентов: «Саша, я не могу жить без сладкого и не могу остановиться на одной конфете. Как справиться с этой тягой и этим чувством голода?». Я всегда задаю несколько вопросов в ответ:
«А вы уверены, что это голод?»
Мне кажется, тут и так понятно, что мы трескаем тортики и конфетки, не потому, что хочешь есть и испытываешь голод.
Поэтому давайте вместе разбираться и анализировать, что такое ФИЗИЧЕСКИЙ ГОЛОД, а что такое все же ПСИХОЛОГИЧЕСКИЙ ГОЛОД. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚫️ФИЗИЧЕСКИЙ ГОЛОД⚫️
✔️Чувство пустоты в желудке. Чаще всего ощущается натощак или после длительного перерыва между приёмами пищи;
✔️Урчание в животе;
✔️Нарастает постепенно и при сильном голоде появляется упадок сил, головокружение, слабость, сонливость.
✔️Физический голод- когда вам хочется есть и вам без разницы грудка это или шоколадка, вам хочется просто утолить его, как можно быстрее, лишь бы появилась сытость;
✔️Физический голод- осознание процесса еды и ощущение сытости в конце;
✔️Физический голод проходит сразу после еды;
✔️После утоления физического голод—нет чувства стыда за еду. Нам нужна еда- чтобы жить.
⚫️ПСИХОЛОГИЧЕСКИЙ ГОЛОД⚫️
✔️Появляется внезапно. Пару минут назад ты поел и не был голоден, а сейчас хочешь съесть шоколадку;
✔️Тяга к определенной пище, те ты хочешь именно ТУ шоколадку или только ТОТ бургер, но при этом яблоко ты не хочешь; ✔️Психологический - бездумное употребление еды без чувства вкуса и насыщения;
✔️Проявляется от безделья, от переживаний и стрессов, от несбалансированного и низкокаллорийного рациона;
✔️После психологического голода- чувство стыда из-за переедания. Ты ругаешь себя за еду. Потом снова ешь. И снова ругаешь

  • Getting paid to scrub someone’s floor and not getting paid to scrub your own floor...it’s two completely different feelings. I clean my gym almost everyday, and the truth is most people probably wouldn’t notice the difference if I only cleaned once a week or every other week. But I notice. This place is mine, and is by no means perfect but I want to make it as perfect as possible!

There are two powers that run parallel, devik shakti and asuri shakti. Devik is positive, harmonious, balanced and protective, while asuri shakti is the complete opposite; it involves cruelty, crimes, fighting and destruction.
On Thursday, 21st March 2019 we will celebrate Holi with a satsang, that will start at 19:00 in our Yoga center. You are invited to join us!

  • GIRL, wash your face
for some reason us girls have a major tendency to be extremely hard on ourselves. It’s something I try to work on DAILY as well as remind patients the same 👉🏼 to be kind to Self and appreciate the process. The struggle is real and it’s always easier said than done BUT at least I’m not alone. And neither are you. And books like this one by @msrachelhollis is a total MUST read for a little reminder that you can be and do whatever you want no matter what the circumstances. But it’s up to YOU to make it happen and not let the bitter ego get in the way. You are beautiful. Every day IS a blessing and a chance to make anew. So get up! Wash your face! And take charge. We find ourselves caught up in reactive patterns of thought and emotion that we know just do not serve our Health and Happiness, nor the Health and Happiness of those around us! 
Check this with your own experience ... when you feel good, observe how you interact with both yourself and the world ... when you feel bad, observe how you interact with yourself and the world ... which do you prefer?

We know that mastery of our mental and emotional states could empower us to more consciously and deliberately LIVE WELL. Although we ‘live’ up in our heads much of our time, we have not gained the mental and emotional experience necessary to REALISE our Potential on an ongoing basis.
