Vacation pics coming at you all week!!
Never heard of @scrubisland_bvi before? I didn't know much about it either, except that on @expedia it was one of the nicest looking hotels in the BVI with availability when this chica decided to book her room last-minute.
Their website touts it as "your everything BUT average vacation on your own pristine, private island retreat." Okuuurrr!!! Bold statement, huh? Well, I've gotta keep it real. That's the line that pulled me in.
Here I am at Tortola's Trellis Bay Dock patiently waiting for the 10-minute ferry ride to get there via a private launch. The only other way to get to the resort is by private boat or chopper.
I belong to Delhi - the capital city of several huge empires including the Mughal - so the Bangalore Palace, built as late as in the 1870s by the Mysore royal family, appeared tiny to me in comparison with the palaces I've seen. But the audio tour and the pictures and artefacts of daily life that are on display around the palace shed some serious light on how India's 'modern royalty' have come to evolve and how they continue to exist and thrive like any other privileged upper-class business family.
If you're ever in Bangalore and have an interest in history, heritage, or human stories - you have got to visit this place.

💖So in love with this Paradise🌺 Der italienische Garten im Barock Stil ist mit Statuen, Obelisken und Nischen mit verschiedenen Meeresgötter und Nymphen aus Stein verziert. 📸by @_temponaut_
