👁 Otra vez. Todas las veces. 🏝
This picture was taken on one of the first sunny days of the year. I had been discussing for a little while with @mabuse1920 about doing an outside nude shoot and he asked me to think about a place that meant something to me ; where I would like to get naked.
After deciding the late Styx where I had some of the best parties of my life last summer (@papalokoparty I'm looking at you) would be a bit messy to access, I decided for this place.
It is part of the Thames Water construction along the River Lea. When I was staying in Stoke Newington, I used to come run here quite often with my ex (and now close friend @f_oliveira80), following the river. I have a few old pictures from there, in the archives of my Instagram. At the end of the summer, end of my first year living in London, I moved back to France to finish my masters. A year after, I moved back to London to leave far east, then north west and forgot about this place.
Last summer, having moved back to Stokey / Stamford Hill ; having met some amazing new people living in the area (@tdse121 ❤️), I started running again and retook, instinctively the same way as before, through Lynmouth Road, to Springfield Park, to the river, to these small woods. And as soon as I arrived back there, it's like the last four or five years of my life just hit me in the face.
I just have a couple more months before leaving London again, for a while, for a year or maybe more this time. It is a bit early to reflect on all of this but I'm happy this picture was taken, I'm grateful it was. I'm grateful that picture not only leave traces for the future me, but also create links with this old me, with this guy that came to lose himself in London.
Pic by @mabuse1920 one of the greatest link makers of London queer scene.
