  • Reposted from @garyvee - Too many people out there taking dollars off the table and not reinvesting it back into their companies.

I am seeing a huge trend of a lot of youngsters building something but taking the profits and pouring them into stuff. I really wish I could communicate how much I feel that’s leaving a huge opportunity on the floor. Reinvesting into your business instead of your short term desires is something you have to consider. This doesn’t mean don’t enjoy your fruits of the labor and make sure you get what you need but please remember, feeding your business often feeds you more in the end.

  • #createfearlesslychallenge
Here's what I look like after working day jobs for 11 consecutive days. Not bad, but a bit ragged! . . . . . .
@fairbanksstudios and @katfairbanks have created the #createfearlessly challenge, and I am participating! . . . .
The challenge begins with me talking about my goals on Instagram. I have had an Instagram profile for years, but I only became "active" July 2018. . . . .
Goal 1:
Make it FUN for MYSELF to have as a creative outlet! If I don't enjoy it, I shouldn't do it. . .
Goal 2:
This is the one some people won't want to admit. I will have products and services in the future, so I would like to utilize social media to give me a wider audience than I could possibly have from word-of-mouth alone. I want to be able to sell successfully to a receptive audience. . .
Goal 3:
Network! Going back to my first goal, everything is more fun with friends! This goal is ongoing - I've already met too many influentual people on Instagram that I had an instant connection with to say that this goal was not met. But, there are more out there! .
.
.
.
I have two more goals, but their descriptions didn't fit in the Instagram caption 😥
.
.
.
I made a post in the past about how I have trouble not overthinking things, so I made it simple for myself and just took them out. .
.
.
If you are interested in my other goals on Instagram, tell me in the comments and we can continue this discussion! .

  • Do the things others wouldn’t dream of to create the life others can only dream of
.
How many lives do we get? I have no clue, but it’s scary how fast this one seems to be passing by
.
Whatever the truth, the answer is always the same; to make the most of it
.
So many of us don’t realise this is actually our lives, many of us act as though it’s some sort of dress rehearsal and one day real life will start
.
I did this for so many years, thinking ‘in another life I will do this, that and the other’ then realising oh wait, I’m in my life now. I hope this resonates with some of you and I don’t just sound crazy 😝
.
One thing I love is space and one of the reasons I find space so fascinating is that is grounds me in the fact of my own mortality
.
As Neil deGrasse Tyson takes us on a multi-billion year journey through the cosmos in ‘Cosmos: a space time odyssey’ (incredible must watch by the way) I really feel so insignificant, which is initially terrifying then really empowering
.
Space isn’t just ‘out there’, we’re in it, we are part of it, we are essentially made of ‘space dust’
.
When we try to get a grip of who or what we really are, one tiny link in a long chain of human evolution, as scary as this may sound (it’s just reality) the more we can be free from the limitations of worry about failure
.
So much of what we worry about doesn’t matter, so we really can do the things others would only dream of
.
So as I sit by this man-made lake reading a book at 6am ‘think and grow rich’ I realise I’m sitting on top of a spinning rock hurtling through space and just how awesome this is
.
There’s a one in 400 trillion chance of being born, someone worked this out (thanks to Gary V for sharing) so shouldn’t we be making the absolute most of it? At least for those 399.99 trillion alternative versions of us that never came to be
.
Let’s stop taking life for granted and start living our fullest life. Even if it is ‘one small step’ at a time
.
Do the things others wouldn’t dream of to create the life others can only dream of
.
What are you doing to create a dream life, comment below ⬇️

  • 3 TIPS TO INCREASING THE VALUE OF YOUR BUSINESS — PT. 3

Tip 3 - Build A Proprietary Product

What is a proprietary product?

A proprietary product is something unique to the business or niche that you’re in.

Maybe it’s a software that goes along with your business that makes customer reporting and tracking a million times easier.

Maybe it’s a new CRM that is unique and built for your specific industry.

Maybe it’s a better way that clients go through an on-boarding process.

Maybe it’s a new way that people in your niche can remarket to their customers.

It can be many different things.

The main takeaway is having something that is unique or better than anything else on the market for your industry or niche.

With that proprietary product, you increase the value of your business because you have something no one else has and everyone wants.

Companies and investors will pay big money was you prove the worth of that product!

That’s Tip #3! I hope you guys enjoyed my 3 Tips to Increasing The Value of Your Business. Now get to work and start implementing these tactics.

  • 4 years ago I was booked for my first public speaking event. Every time I was booked, I never asked for a single penny 💰
Why? Because I wanted to perfect my craft.
After doing over 50-80 speeches, almost a year later, I requested a fee for my service and yes the price was above average 💸
This is because I knew my value, what I bring to the table, my unique service and it was a game changer! 💎
I was invited to influence millionaires, corporate company CEO’s, Royal Family, A-list celebrities, educational services and more 🎤
This was because I came with substance and everything I spoke was genuine, with experience and it was me!
Now I see many people online who are getting into this field of inspirational speaking and it’s great to see, but I question you this ...
Are you genuine, do you believe in what you preach, do you practise what you preach, are you speaking from the heart or are you just copying a meme you’ve seen online or do you see a @garyvee video and respeak his content to look good?
Just remember, what you speak to others has a detrimental effect on everyone who listens to you. Do not speak on things you have no experience in or do not know much about. Be honest and be you!
