I may be back at school, but don’t let the gym pic fool ya cause it’s an unplanned rest day for this chick🐥. I haven’t been feeling 💯 since coming back from San Diego, and it’s finally caught up to me and I’m sick🤧.

I am a firm believer in listening to your body so yo girl is going nowhere near the gym today. In the past I would of freaked out about missing a workout, but honestly I would just be doing my body more harm than good🤷🏼‍♀️. My workout would be 💩 and I would definitely feel 💩ier after it.

So today, the only thing getting a workout is my brain🧠 from all the chem studying🤓. The worst kind of workout lol.

  • FATIGUE EXISTS

It sounds like a no brainer when you say it so bluntly, but it's like people forget sometimes?

They expect week after week for weight to always trend upwards and associate less weight on the bar with regression or going backwards.

The set shown above is a 275kg triple, seven days prior  I hit a 290kg triple which moved relatively faster, does this mean that I magically got weaker in that time span?

NOPE.

What came behind this session is personal issues, a huge week of travel, less sleep than normal and a buttload of fatigue from peaking all three lifts in the previous week.

That meant this week HAD to be lighter to make sure I stayed in one piece and actually have room to progress in this new block.

Getting stronger doesn't always mean more, sometimes it means revisiting old milestones better than the last time you hit them 😁. @nexusperformance.aus

  • The absolute hardest I’ve pushed myself to date, not that it’s been long at all but the rewarding feeling of proving “YOURSELF TO YOURSELF” and embracing the “F&$K YOU” attitude towards the continuous slap in the face moments life hands out,  is something I find soooooo much peace in 🖤
