It’s so easy to point fingers and say that someone else had it easier than us because of the family they’re born in or their genetic makeup i.e. appearance or personality. But who are we decide who has it easier or harder than us and why are we comparing to begin with? ⠀
I get told all the time that I have it easy because I’m “pretty” and yes, some things are definitely easier but anything that comes to me because of that is probably superficial and can oftentimes cause more harm than good. But more importantly, you don’t know my story, you have no idea what I’ve been through. Just like I don’t know your scars either. ⠀
I believe all woman’s body’s are beautiful. I love the variety of curves, various hair colors, the different jaw structures, the imperfect teeth. And I’m the first to see my own flaws: my big feet, the cellulite on my hips, my bunny tooth. I’m quick to compare myself to someone else, especially on my IG feed. And being in this industry, it’s especially hard to not put a magnifying glass on our imperfections. But the flaws we carry help make us unique and quirky. Because if we are all perfect and look the same, what’s the point? ⠀
So instead of comparing and judging others based on their appearance, let’s focus on how much we’re actually all the Same. We all have insecurities and flaws just like we all experience feelings, both good and bad. We all want to belong and we all need connection. We’re all incredible creatures put on this earth to make the world a better place. ⠀

Ngl I’ve been feeling chubby af lately and I blame it all on bad food habits ( also the fact that my kitchen is under renovations so I can only have takeout is not helping).
Today tho, I woke up pretty damn lean ( also @slixaustraliaswimwear is flattering af) which motivated me to get back on the right track to getting lean for my Europe trip!!! Wooohoooo
So pretty much all I’m doing is adding sprints twice a week ( I’ve actually missed them) and am going to do my absolute best to keep cravings at a min even tho that time of month is coming... which is why I may or may not have just eaten a slice of cake and bowl of ice cream 😬😬😬

Cheese anyone? Ontem partilhei o meu jantar e recebi tantas perguntas que resolvi partilhar. Ora bem não há receita porque não há quantidades mas usei claras, uma colher de sobremesa bem cheia de farinha de tremoço e uma pequena mão de espinafres e temperei com oregãos e pimenta. Depois é só aquecer uma frigideira antiaderente (a minha é top do @lidlportugal) e despejar a massa (se não tiverem uma boa frigideira usem um spray ou peguem em papel de cozinha e espalhem azeite). Recomendações lume médio alto e tapar a frigideira. Depois é só rechear: escusado dizer que usei 3 tipos de queijo 🧀 ahaha). I just did a massive clean up of what would be for most, a living room.
I freed up the #stationarybike so now when the weather does not comply, I can still get at least 30 minutes of #exercise every day. I enjoy a little bit of #cardio .
I also found this! #YourShapeFitnessEvolved I bought it from the discount bin at EB's many many years ago.
I used to "play" it last time I tried to regain my health. Oh, I did so well. I just didn't/couldn't sustain it.
But I digress.
I loved the "Gym Games" especially the boxing.
I'm feeling really good today. I got a good 8 hours sleep last night. And got up at 8am.
I honestly feel like I've downed my favourite energy drink and taken 10mg of dextroamphetamine. Unfortunately, I do know exactly how that feels. :/
I also know what the crash feels like! Lol
The last few times I've tested my #ketones they have been high so maybe that's why I feel so perky?

Wow! I was looking at my old Id badges and everytime I look at the one on the right it reminds me of how far I have come.
I used to tell myself I would never lose weight and that I was just big boned. No, it was just my negative self talk and my lack of confidence in myself. Once I started believing in myself and changing for me my body responded. You need to want to change for yourself and no one else or you wont succeed in the long run.
I workout daily not to necessarily lose weight anymore but I do it to stay fit and to give my body what it craves; movement. I find the days I am not active I am not as energetic. I also tend to eat less healthy on those days. I have noticed my body craves routine.
Everyone is different but you need to get to know you. Try different approaches qnd see what your body responds to. Moat of all you need to BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!
Exercise is a celebration of what our bodies can do and an act of self love. It’s not a punishment for what we ate or a chore to be endured for physical change. Show your body some love and remember to eat like you love yourself. Your body deserves it! 💗
