Finished meal prep after a long ass day. I am BEAT. But it’s #worthit for the gainzzz.
As I’m getting busier I’m relying on meal prep more to keep me on track. I’m even getting rid of oatmeal 😱 Everybody relax please it’s okay. I just am actually getting rid of whey protein in general for now to see if it helps me skin. So stay tuned.
Anyways let me tell ya about what I’ll be eating this week:
Meal 1: scrambled egg/egg whites, with bell pepper, onion, and roasted sweet ps. Eggs I’ll make the day of but having the sweets all ready to go will make brekkie quick.
Meal 2: roasted vegetables (golden beets, cauliflower, and carrots) with baked balsamic chicken. Possible to add some sautéed kale tbd I haven’t decided yet haha.
Meal 3: Taco salad topped with shredded salsa chicken that I did in the crockpot (just add chicken, jar of salsa, diced onion, lime juice, taco seasoning, and cilantro)
WHEW. If you need me I’ll be a lump on my couch for the remainder of the evening ✌🏼
c a r d i o 🏃🏼♀️ before I discovered weightlifting, I would go to the gym 6 days a week and run for an HOUR straight. I didn’t know any better, and thought that my calories burned from exercise should be greater than my calories consumed (?!)
I now know that this is completely insane + I wish I could tell my 19 year old self how crazy I was. cardio does not have to be spent only on a treadmill for 6 hours/week.
• @precisionnutrition has a great article on how to balance your exercise, which really helped me organize my routine! for me, this means: 4 hours resistance training + 1 hour of interval training + 2 hours of outdoor physical activity 💗

Today was another meal prep Sunday!
Breakfast: banana and blueberry protein pancake bake with a side of another banana to add some slices on top and almond butter
Lunch: grilled chicken bowl with grapes, apples, goat cheese and almond slices
Dinner: (not made ahead) but wheat toast with avocado and over easy eggs on top. We also use red pepper flakes to give it some spice.
Dessert: protein popsicles!! We used our smoothie ingredients to make popsicles and they taste so good!

Just cause you don’t notice the change in the mirror every day doesn’t mean that change isn’t happening! Be patient, keep going, & every now and then look back and notice how far you’ve come! I live for progress pics 📸 All progress during a calorie cut so don’t think you HAVE to lose muscle & strength while leaning out.. although you can... I am telling you my strength has increased and my muscles are still making gains pushing myself during this cut (must be cheat meal gains 🤔) so that’s not always true. Keep pushing!
