  • “What are those sleeves you wear?” “Do you feel like compression is helpful?” “Which brand do you like best?” I’ve been getting a lot of these types of questions regarding the compression sleeves I wear so here’s the skinny!

What are they for? Compression helps increase the amount of blood flowing to your muscles helping them last longer through exercise and fatigue. It also decreases the amount of muscular vibration, which overall helps insurance and recovery.

How have I personally benefitted from compression? I used to get shin splints when running any amount of downhill. Compression has help minimize if not fully eliminate shin splints for me. Also, sometimes when I ran long distances my toes and feet would start to tingle. I would always play with loosening my shoes but since wearing compression sleeves I have noticed I don’t experience these circulation issues.

Which brand do I like? I’ve tried several brands of compression sleeves before finding @rockay_running but these are the best I’ve used. The graduated pressure is perfect, they are sweat-wicking and so comfortable. But upon finding this brand I read up on their mission and my favorite thing about this company is that they source materials for their fabric from plastic ocean waste. Next year there will be over 2M plastic bottles removed from the ocean just from Rockay alone. It gives me chills to think about the difference that makes for our planet and is something I can stand behind 100%.

Este objetivo pode ser alcançado de muitas formas. De uma maneira biológica, podemos dizer, a felicidade é conquistada através da liberação da endorfina. Ao ser liberada, a endorfina, uma substância natural produzida pelo cérebro, causa uma potente ação analgésica e estimula o bem-estar, conforto e melhora o estado de alegria e humor.

A endorfina pode ser liberada de diferentes formas. Uma destas maneiras é através da prática de exercícios. Então, que tal comemorar este Dia da Felicidade com atividades físicas simples que podem ser feitos em casa? 
Confira  a dica de alguns desses exercícios:

Abdominal: Aclamado por todo mundo que deseja perder a barriga, os abdominais fazem um imenso sucesso devido à sua eficácia. Tanto é que, com o tempo, as técnicas para praticar o exercício foram aprimoradas e hoje existem diversas variações que aceleram os resultados. Mas tome cuidado com a postura na hora de fazer a atividade. 
Prancha: Se você prefere um exercício que equivale a centenas de abdominais e ainda fortalece a coluna, tente a prancha no solo: pressione as palmas das mãos no chão, estique os ombros e mantenha o pescoço ereto.
Permaneça com as costas retas e imagine seu corpo também em linha reta. Mantenha-se nessa mesma posição entre 20 a 60 segundos. Apoie os joelhos no chão para descansar e repita mais duas vezes a mesma sequência. 
Bicicleta imaginária: Deite-se no chão com a barriga para cima, erga as pernas e comece a pedalar no ar como se estivesse em uma bicicleta. Não se esqueça de contrair o abdômen. Parece fácil, mas você vai perceber que dá muito trabalho praticar esta atividade.

Agachamento: O agachamento não é nada complicado: basta afastar as pernas, esticar os braços, manter a coluna ereta e agachar por sequências de 30 segundos.
É importante que suas coxas fiquem paralelas ao chão. Além disso, atente-se à respiração: inspire quando estiver em pé e expire lentamente enquanto desce.

You can ask for your Sausage McMuffin without butter on the english muffin and it reduces the points by at least 2. (I've done a ton of research and there is no concrete number for this, so reduce at your own risk.) 🎉
I also take one half of the muffin off and eat it open faced - I take another smart point off for that!
--And yes I know you can eat a whole Egg White Delight for approx the same points, but this girl prefers sausage!--
