If you’re anything like me, then you might have a difficult time staying motivated to work out or eat healthy especially when your days are already jam packed!! As a full time accountant, I typically work long hours and right now during busy season it gets even more insane. This time of year I always find it so much harder to stay on top of my health. I’m still nowhere near perfect when it comes to working out or eating healthy, but I’ve found one thing that always seems to help me stick to my fitness goals: Planning ahead! 🙌🏼 This has helped so much on days where I have ton going on. I’ve noticed I’m much more motivated to work out in the morning when I have everything planned, from exactly what workout I’ll be doing all the way down to the clothes I’ll workout in. And it’s even better if I have a killer workout set. Look good, feel good, work good, play good, am I right?! 💪🏼 The same goes for the food I’m going to eat that day. It’s much easier to choose a healthy dinner when I’ve planned ahead of time exactly what we’ll have. I can’t tell you the number of times @kcbarnes2 and I haven’t planned ahead and then ended up eating Taco Bell because it was fast and easy. 🤦♀️ Bottom line is the better we plan, the more likely we are to create time for our health and make it happen! 💜 I’d love to hear your thoughts below! Do you plan your workouts/meals or do you like winging it?
Your largest fear carries your greatest growth. Do one thing that scares you every day. 🔥 Mine? Fully performing a bodyweight Pistol Squat! Finally almost nailed it! SO close! I will get there. Practice makes perfect, but still very proud of myself for my accomplishments thus far! My strength in my ABS, lower bod and back are FINALLY where I need them to be in order to nail down this move! Now it’s just about really putting it fully together! Took me a hot minute. And that’s a-okay! Just really goes to show that when you put your mind to one thing, with the proper mindset, discipline and consistency, whatever it is that your working towards is achievable. 💯 Being able to use your muscles synergistically requires focus, coordination & balance. All of which are needed to achieve any goal if you work for it. Am I right? What are you working for? Comment 👇🏻 with any of your goals & some ❤️ fam! Happy Thursday! OH! And it’s officially Spring! Time to level UP my friends! 😀.

Okay so a lot of people asked about what I thought about motivation and how I stay motivated etc.
I’ll be honest, a lot of it is just habit! The word Motivation gets confused with actually acting on what you say vs what you do compared to what you say. .
I’m motivated by the competitors, motivated by the on going improvements. What keeps me motivated is the daily routine, the healthier life style, I get addicted to my workouts and how strong it makes me feel, what I act on daily to achieve my results. You can say all you like that you’re motivated but at the end of the day when you look in that mirror and you see no difference, you didn’t have enough drive to complete the tasks needed to finish the job. This is the leanest I’ve been in maybe 4 years! .
My biggest key to staying on track and getting motivated is BE REAL, HONEST AND REALISTIC. Yes the competition inspires me but I won’t look like them, I’ll look like ME. I 110% have some fucking bad days I tell you. But I told myself I’d make it to the end, rain hail or shine and that’s what I’m going for. Motivation stands for the reason or reasons for acting or behaving a particular way. So by creating the habit of “this is what I’m doing and this is how I’m going to do it” it comes naturally daily. If you lack in motivation that’s okay, take a step back and ask yourself; why did you begin in the first place? Write that shit down and then ask yourself how you can solve each area. Don’t go blaming natural causes, relationships, hardships, money, time as to why you haven’t been motivated to change yourself. You were in a rut because YOU put yourself there. Use that as fuel and GET MOVING. .
Be your own motivation and daily check list. ✔️ I did this for me today ✔️ i did this because it felt good ✔️ I did this because I didn’t care about opinions ✔️ I did this to be better.
Be the reason to act, act on your behaviours to reach where you want to be.
This is your life and your lifestyle, whatever you want to achieve that motivation comes down to your whys and how badly you want to answer those questions.
