Looking back to this time last year, you’ve grown up so much since then..
I’m constantly torn between between wanting you to stay my little baby forever & being excited about the amazing young woman you’re going to be ❤️.
Fast forward to 37 weeks and 4 days into our (read: her) pregnancy. The wife feels her mucus plug break.
Non-parents: it's okay to gross out on words like that. I didn't know what it was either. When in doubt, Google.
We have a shower and reach the hospital in leisure to find out that our water is leaking. Next thing we know, labor induced, countless forms signed without reading the terms, water broken manually, epidural (Google), 12 hour labor, power grip hold leading to bruised hands (oh the pain for the father is all too real), emergency C section, BLANK.
Men, listen to me. You are not one hundredth as strong as your lady. I know what you're thinking. Let it go. Drop it. Move on.
Photo by @gabrielegalimbertiphoto | From my "Fathers" project: Jhonny, 32, was born in Maniche, a small village in the jungle in Haiti's south, and that’s where he has always lived. His daughter Jiounela was born two years ago. He lives with his daughter and his wife in a tiny house near the river, in the middle of the forest, completely disconnected from every modern comfort, including electricity. Jhonny raises animals and grows fruits and vegetables. Everything he produces goes toward feeding his family. Sometimes he goes fishing on the river, even though, to hear him tell it, he's not very good at it. He spends a lot of time with his daughter. Their favorite activity is playing in the water. #haiti#father#river
Posted @withrepost • @davidfurnish A very Happy Birthday to my incomparable husband. You never cease to amaze me with your indefatigable zest for living and your boundless heart. I love sharing my life with you. Thank-you for all that you do for our world. I love you ❤️❤️❤️🎂🎂🎂 @eltonjohn#HappyBirthday
My dad (Carter) on the left.... my uncle (r.i.p Ollie) on the right... playing together since the 60's...
These guys were my musical idols growing up. Between seeing them play live and listening to my mom's record/tape collection growing up that is how my taste in music was fashioned.
Dad still makes music in his "studio" at home... i get my creativity from him... I get my mindset from my mom.🤓🤘🤘❤❤
