Standing on the Big Thompson River, witnessing the sun light as it pierces through the trees, melting away the remainings of winter (ok, I need to stop now 😅).
I got to finally meet @wmorleyphotography and @lukewagnerphoto this weekend, and we drove early to @rockynps to shoot the sunrise. We were promised a cloudy/rainy morning, but of course there were barely any clouds in the sky. What do you do when faced with that situation? You make do by finding a comp that works. After all, I didn’t drive 80 miles for nothing 💩.
Side note: I apologize for my absence as I had so much going on in the past couple of months. The upside is, I’m back in Colorado. For good 😁.

“After something traumatic happens, there’s always that little moment right when you wake up and everything’s good, because your mind has temporarily forgotten the bad stuff.
I feel like our conscious and our subconscious make some sort of secret pact to let us have a split-second of peace.
... and when that relief happens, I try to hold on to it.”

One of the best decisions I have made was to visit Cape Town in South Africa for my semi solo trip. Scary as hell, well, largely contributed by the media but I was welcomed with so so much love from the locals - Africans. Much more warm hospitality than anywhere else I have been to. Here I am standing at Cape Point, so close to the continent where two oceans meet - Atlantic Ocean and Indian Ocean. Quite terrible with geography so I had to google my facts out rofl
There's just something about Sydney's harbour that will always draw me back, the boating yards, the constant squawk of seagulls and that delicious smell of fish and chips at one of the many restaurants on Darling Harbour. It's the first place in Australia I showed @saazsmith when she arrived here and we always enjoy going back to explore more.
