When you’re at your breaking point that’s when you know you have to keep going. It can be so easy to quit on ourselves when things aren’t going as planned. Remember who you are and how far you’ve come. Don’t give up on yourself. Keep pushing through, you won’t regret it. 💕✨
“Vulnerability is about showing up and being seen. It’s tough to do that when we’re terrified about what people might see or think.” — Brené Brown⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Someone said yesterday in a group I'm in "My full time job in life is to conceal and hide my problems so that I look like I have it all together, and I am exhausted." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My heart broke when I read that, mostly because I can relate! That used to be me. Heck, I went through a DIVORCE and didn't even shed a tear because I had to show everyone that I WAS FINE. How screwed up is that? People just wanted to be there for me and support me, but I wouldn't let them, instead I had to show how "STRONG" I was. I look back at that now and CRINGE because if I had just been vulnerable and opened up about my struggles, I could have saved myself a lot of pain and therapy later on. I could have had deeper relationships with people around me. And I possibly could have helped someone else who was going through the same thing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Why do we feel like we have to have it all together? That we can't let anyone see us struggle or fail? I mean, guess what, I didn't win any awards or get any medals for "being fine". So what's the point?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
VULNERABILITY IS BEAUTIFUL, it lets people relate to us and in return open up, allowing for stronger bonds & relationships. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

She has a mischievous smile, a curious heart and an affinity to running wild... Pretending I’m still in the mountains and crisp snowy air 🏔 🎿
My lungs feel strong after that mini trip which is amazing. Mountains cure all.
Here’s 6 things that have been reaffirmed since being back in one of my favourite places 🏔
1️⃣ Meeting new likeminded people will always be one of my favourite things and I’m a firm believer everyone you meet is for a reason
2️⃣ Human performance seriously fascinates me, and what we are capable of if we simply keep pushing ourselves is mind blowing and makes me want to keep pushing mine more than ever - starting today!
3️⃣Make ambitions even greater than you think you should so that they scare the hell out of you and make sure actions follow, no choice
4️⃣Live in the moment is one of the most important things to always do and never take for granted - from taking in scenery to conversing in conversation
5️⃣You can do anything you put your mind to if you prepare and develop mental toughness every day
6️⃣Leaning into uncomfortable situations - make a habit so if a struggle comes your way you have tools to deal with it
7️⃣Everyone should laugh more - life doesn’t have to be so serious!
Have you ever woken up from a dream, good or bad, with someone heavy on your heart?
It’s easy to pray when it’s a friend. What happens when it’s a foe? Don’t roll over, shrug it off and go back to sleep. You wake up, get on your knees, and intercede for them...you don’t know what they may be facing at that very moment.
We care because God cares for them.
“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.”
What’s your Hustle look like on Saturdays?
What do you to to make things happen??🤔
The Innate Hunger to Build.
Do Something & Try.
The ability to make things happen. Knowing how to get there. But knowing action breeds result.

Babies are born helpless, and are completely reliant on their caregivers to get their basic needs met. It is the responsibility of the infant's caregiver(s) to acknowledge and support the baby, and in particular it is the caregiver's job to feed, change, comfort, and support resting, for the growing and developing child.⠀
Attachment is the bond that is formed between the baby and the caregiver(s), such that the baby quickly comes to rely on the caregivers response style. In essence, the baby learns that when they need their caregiver, they will either be there when they need them, they will be there some of the time, they may be there and be unsafe, or they won't be there at all.⠀
These different ways of responding on the part of the caregiver, impacts the attachment style of the infant. If a child grows up with an insecure or disorganized attachment style, due to unsafe or unpredictable parenting, that will impact the sorts of relationships that child seeks out in adulthood.⠀
Attachment wounds are trauma, and they are worthy of healing. It is possible to create new relational patterns, and seek out secure partners and relationships. No matter your attachment style, you come by it honestly.⠀
To those of you who had unsafe or unstable caregivers, I see you. To those of you recovering from confusing or abusive relationships with your caregivers, I see you. To those of you struggling to find connection in a world of rejection, I see you.⠀

You Know You’re Aging When... you go to bed early while on vacation. 😂 ⠀
Anybody else with me here?! ⠀
What are some things you’ve noticed that may have changed over the years as you age? ⠀
Don’t get me wrong aging isn’t bad especially if we are gaining wisdom along the way. ⠀
Hope you lovely people are have a great weekend!
Satisfaction Saturday.. You changed..🤷🏾♀️ You’re not the same.. I gotta get to know you all over again. I’m not perfect neither do I claim to be. It took along time for me to love this version of me. Look in the mirror didn’t recognize myself at times.. I’m the smallest I’ve ever been in my entire life.. (my size healthy) “ I loved when I was Thick” but it was unhealthy. Yes I did change. I Healed, I started demanding respect for myself. I stopped allowing people to talk to me and treat me anyway. I let go of people. I stopped trying yo force relationships and build alliances. (Stressful) I love differently and receive love differently. I’m genuine and know when people are genuine with me. No time for fake fraudulent stuff.. I just hold on to Gods unchanging hand. He’s ordering my steps. I’m grateful for who’s and who I am! Thank God for Growth, Clarity, and a sound mind! Not apologizing for growing and healing... •

after the hundreds of times i’ve been told, “get your head as low as you can, it’ll unweight your butt” i finally was brave and strong enough- i got my head low and got the uphill transfer right.
even though i haven’t been able to translate it to the bed, i’m getting closer. 👌
PS: i get a lot of “why don’t you use a slide board?” i have them, i just want to be able to do it without one. it’s just a goal i personally want to beat.
I want to introduce myself as the new owner of Fit4Mom QueensEast. My name is Michelle Rey and I am the mother of two beautiful girls named Willow (9yrs Old) and Violet (7yrs old). I wish I knew about Fit4Mom when my girls were a bit younger but I am glad I know about it now! About three years ago, I decided to make health and fitness a part of my life. .
I have struggled with my weight for most of my life. I looked at my two young girls and wished I had even a fraction of their high energy and enthusiasm. My energy was so low that I had no fuel to give to the world. After overcoming challenges and guilt about taking time for me, I pushed myself to lose 115 pounds through diet and exercise. A year later, I made the decision to follow my newly found passion and become a certified personal trainer to help others reach their individual goals.
Around this time, Kim Hommel and I were having lunch when she told me she was looking for a new instructor for Run Club. I looked into the program and saw that it seemed to be the right fit me for me so I decided to get certified. I was so nervous with my first group of moms but my introduction to FIT4mom was magical! Most of these ladies are still with me today. I then decided to get certified in Strides 360 and enjoyed instructing that as well. I realized that the Fit4mom environment is not just about fitness but about the whole person.
I am looking forward to meeting those of you in our established community and continuing to grow with you. I will work to build upon everything Kim has done so far to make sure the program meets all of your needs. I know I have big shoes to fill but I am so excited to work together and learn from all of you!
Thanks for taking a moment to get to know me!
Michelle Rey .
I seek to portray that gray is a natural progression of female beauty! A testimony to the mature feminine, full of grace and poise. Through my lens I see it as a conscious transition of beauty, the grand phase of your life.
I seek to #empower all women who are in this transition by showing them how gorgeous this new color is, as it is a color to me, full of vibrance and not 50, but a million shades of not gray but silver, the color of the stars!
I want to help emphasize your outer beauty by bringing forth your inner radiance and shine!

😮 What!? Vegetables are carbs!? Our body doesn’t need food groups, it needs macronutrients and micronutrients. VEGETABLES are the most NUTRIENT-DENSE CARBOHYDRATES you and your kids can eat. The problem I see with my patients/families is that they eat starches and grains (even if it is whole grain) at the EXCLUSION of eating veggies. Also, the anti-nutrients in the grains are likely blocking the absorption of key vitamins and minerals 💚 I realize getting an abundance of veggies in is hard but you can do it! You have to eliminate the other food options. There is no need to freak out about “cutting out a food group “ when considering a low carb or Keto nutrition plan, the body will get what it needs from veggies! 💚

When one woman makes an achievement then we should all celebrate with her. 🙌
What’s the prefect strategy? 🤔 Whatever challenges and improves us on a daily basis. There is no one success strategy for life, but I l believe if we actively seek to strengthen our personal health, wealth, relationships and knowledge we are on the right path. 🌅 It won’t be easy, it’ll take small choices when we don’t feel like it; choosing to do the thing we know in our souls is right until it becomes second nature, developing healthy boundaries and always being kind to ourselves and others. ❤️ And what of the results? We may not feel they’re big at the time but each little drop adds to the ocean of our lives. And when we are as full as an ocean in our own pure truth, we overflow with life. 🌟
