Went well, my split times are improving even though I'm still hanging out my arse when I'm going!
The second screenshot was my attempt at 500 press-ups, it was awful! I initially wanted to complete 1000 but it was very clear after 150 that that was going to be another step to attempt, the chest pump though 💪

Sunday Ryan and I toured some of the less visited aspects of Mt Hood, and as we spread out up the Leuthold Couloir I had some time to think.
I need the wilderness most when I’m struggling. when there’s something back at home I don’t understand and need some time to let it sit. when I need to feel small and insignificant. traveling in wild landscapes requires an engagement and motion that eases my mind and allows some time for the dust settle and the path forward to become clear.

I get asked a lot if I fall. To which I say: I am prepared to fall every single time I hit the water, without exception. I wear the biggest, most unattractive, coldwater-proofiest gear there is. But even with that gear, I absolutely respect the conditions I paddle. And this time of the year, I work hard not to fall. It's spring. The sun is out this week. Folks are starting to hit the water in "light gear." But it was 28*F this morning. And that choppy water is only up to 45*F. I saved this one -- but it was close! 😥 #lovetheconditions but more importantly #respecttheconditions

8:15p and it’s early bedtime after an over ambitious day.
St Pats w friends was a blast.
I SOMEHOW made executive decision to shut it down at around 9p...JUST as we were making a move to next spot.
I realized 4:45am comes CRAZY quick and wanted to start my week on a strong note and not deviate from my post surgery recovery plan.
Tough to tear myself away but got up and out as planned.
Here is my :30 on :30 off 8 minute finish along w 8 back to back 25yard sled pushes w :10 transition time.
My post surgery endurance is still far from where I feel it needs to be BUT I read an interesting and helpful article from another well known and respect trainer re:training after 40 (that ship sailed a long time ago) and the adaptations he’s made to avoid injury and still make significant gains.
It really hit home and calmed me a bit.
I still try to train as if I’m in my 20’s but sometimes it makes it rough rolling out of the rack.
I preach training smart to all my clients.
Time to take some of my own advise.
