'I am afraid of my visions'. .
Born 1940 in Chur, Switzerland, H.R. Giger's idyllic childhood was built upon a growing sense of dread - for childhood nightmares fuelled by his darkly vivid imagination morphed into night terrors as the years passed. .
Giger's willingness to inhabit, explore and translate this inner torment into his life's work, led to the creation of the most incredible portfolio of cold, bleak, horrific biomechanical visions and surreal alien landscapes ever created. A true master of sculpture, illustration, painting, character & set design - his obscene and disturbing fusions of bone, flesh, skulls, women's bodies and machine-like parts has inspired an army of creators and artists and will do for many generations to come. .
In our view there is no greater dark artist than H.R. Giger. Take a moment now to (re)visit his official website, read his fascinating biography and appreciate his work:

"That which has knowledge beyond the physical offers one creative thought of technologies that shall set us free from our earthly origins". JW
Reference photographic capture: Note the appearances of the ancient astronaut at the bottom centre offering the tablet of knowledge.
Underneath the purple aura in the night sky you will also see a rock formation of a space shuttle.
