👑Freddie Interview 1986👑
📌"Everybody looks at me on stage and they think that's how I am like arrogant and when you look at me now I'm quite boring really, but I like to enjoy life but that's just my... A lot of people ask me, that's my stage persona. I mean that's the only way I like to do and it doesn't mean that I go around wearing the same clothes but I still like to have a good time off stage as well. But... I mean I think most of the time it's like I leave that face back off the stage and I just become myself which is I don't know... It's just... It is very different."
✨I love the way he speaks. He's so wise! ❤️
On this day in 1982, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts started a seven week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with 'I Love Rock 'n' Roll', a No.4 hit in the UK. The song had been a B-side from 60s bands The Arrows ⚡️
NEW WORK! A stylised pop art style portrait of classic rock music icon Joni Mitchell.
This work was inspired by a trip to see an exhibition by the pre-raphaelite artist Edward Burne-Jones. He created work that was used on stained glass windows using thick outlines and I created this portrait in that style.
Obsessive Hutton hating accounts that stalk, slanderous comments about a man not proven guilty of anything, endless DMs about shout outs and free promotion. Yall, when I say this fandom is leaving a bad taste in my mouth-
And to those few asking to buy my page any time I consider leaving it taking a break, thank you but no, I'll never give this account to anyone else and I'll never sell, but I appreciate the offer.
Yes you could question my morality at such a young age being influenced by a band at their worst from a behaviour point of view LOL!
But I discovered through them not just the music but what performance was. What a show was and should always be. The way to present yourselves when people say something(s) can't or shouldn't be done and many other things.
Without realising it, in 1987, these were life lessons.
Fast forward to 1989 and seeing them live for the first and it made me know right there that I wanted a life in performance and entertainment.
Nikki, and they, showed me what charisma and performance really was and how you can channel that for positive use going forward.
I took up music and acting and many things performance related soon after that first show on November 1st 1989 at Wembley Arena.
I'm still in music and performance to this day.....because of that show and this band!
It doesn't matter if you're not a fan of the band (or me) but the fact that someone or something can shape a young person going forward and leave a lasting positive legacy for anyone should always be acknowledged and celebrated at appropriate times.
The same band which has led to my son being named after one of the members and various pets named after them including @motleyweegie
With the release of The Dirt today on @netflix @netflixuk .....this seems one of those appropriate times!
