  • The thing I wanted to do most while in Sedona was visit a vortex. I’ve always been intrigued by this idea of an energy epicenter and wanted personal proof of their existence. All of Sedona is considered a #vortex but there are a handful of spots where the red rock energy is said to be more concentrated. I chose to visit the #boyntoncanyonvortex
-
It’s an easy three-mile hike to the vortex. I didn’t know what to expect, exactly, but I kinda assumed I’d feel myself passing through some sort of energy field or feel heat emanating off the vortex. Ha. Silly girl. I didn’t feel anything unusual when I arrived. Disappointed, I took a seat and decided to enjoy the expansive canyon views instead. I had started my hike at sunrise, so luckily had the whole place to myself.
-
It probably started a good 15 minutes after I truly settled (honestly, I lost track of time). It began as a barely perceptible hum. I couldn’t tell if I was hearing the hum or feeling a vibration, but there was definitely *something* going on. I tried to sit as still as possible — even holding my breath! — to try and decipher the source.
-
The hum intensified for a bit, but the more my body and mind got excited over it, the less I could concentrate. The hum started to float away, dissipate into the air, and I couldn’t figure out how to give it ground or chase it back. 😞
-
So my vortex energy experience was a fleeting one, but tangible enough for me to become a believer. Have any of you experienced something similar??

  • Sedona, Arizona is known for its healing vortices. This specific vortex is called the Boynton Canyon Vortex, which houses the Kachina Woman. .

Kachina Woman, otherwise known as the “Mama Rock” as she gives off an energy that is nurturing, soft and welcoming. She can assist you in inward activities such as meditation, contemplation and reflection.
.

Everyone needs their own Kachina Woman. My mom is my first. My friends @northstarr6 and @casey_gio are close seconds. But someday, I’d love to be my own Kachina. .

Thank you so much for sharing your journey, @beccabreakfast ! I hope you found the healing and peace you were looking for. 🤗❤️
.

I have to get to Sedona.

  • My DNA is still processing everything that happened in Sedona.
I received nine more hours of intensive bodywork on the fascia in my pelvis and around my heart, smoothing and pulling and compressing scar tissue that contained more fear than I knew.
I hiked up to this cave with my teacher David @davidelliott10 and my Breathwork family.
I have been entombed alive, buried alive and died in many caves.
When David's sister Julie said we were going to have to crawl through a hole in a rock to get to the second cave, my stomach buckled.
My worst anxiety dream is the one where I am crawling on my hands and knees in a tunnel with people behind me and in front of me, knowing we are never getting out.
My whole body tightens even typing that sentence.
We had to walk a narrow slanted ledge to get to the second cave. My legs were shaking because I could feel the cave energy but my teacher held my hand and made sure I was safe.
Luckily, the hole we had to crawl through was open on both sides and there were many more hands to hold and sweet words of support.
When we arrived in the cave, we all sat down. I was sandwiched between my girls Melodee @melodee_solomon and Robin @robinlee.444 . Our legs were touching and we knew to hold hands and cuddle up. It was not our first time in this cave.
We entered another dimension.
There was an arch way in the cave with two rock slabs that formed an altar for our feet.
One by one, we took turns being cleansed with sacred smoke and an owl wing.
When it was my turn, the wind got loud and my voice got soft.
Sobs immediately came out of my body when I touched the rock.
I turned around to face my family and to see the tenderest faces of love and kindness.
I whispered my claims to the Universe. My leg started to convulse and my whole body shook and vibrated like I'd been doing hours of Breathwork.
My teacher said, "you've done ceremonies like this in caves many times before haven't you?"
YES, I said.
In the days that have followed, what I claimed in the cave is filtering in. I'm still recalibrating. My mind is wired and my body is tired. The magic is in my cells and I am so so grateful for this gift. 📷: @melodee_solomon

  • Boynton Canyon
。 #boyntoncanyon

  • Last time we were in Sedona, we didn’t have time to go to a Vortex. Today, I started my run in the total wrong direction. After 3.3 miles I finally started to go up a more difficult hiking trail and accidentally landed at this Vortex. ⁣
⁣
There was a man playing a flute (see my instastory), helping people to the top of the vortex and giving rock hearts. Immediately when I got to the top, I felt a wave of sad power shoot through me as I thought my dad would think this was so cool and magical. I started to cry. Luckily I was accompanied by a sweet Japanese girl who took this photo. In turn, I helped her off the rock.

I am going to close out the last couple days of our incredible antelope canyon trip. I am so grateful for adventures with these two amazing women. We laugh until it hurts or one of us has almost peed their pants, we fight like sisters and get annoyed with one another but always make up and hug it out, we encourage each other and push one another to not only set our next goal but to crush it and to always be proud of who we are today, tomorrow and always. I love you both 💛🐻💛🐻 It can be hard to step away from your life and to make the time for yourself and travel...but as they say you only live once, and that once is far too short. Grateful for this time, this trip and always beyond happy to come home to my loves.
