Ya know what’s crazy!? I saw this pic, debated on posting thought nahhh, not shredded enough but here I am, passing my own judgement and sharing it anyways bc that’s just petty, 🙅🏼‍♀️like what does ‘shredded enough’ even mean!?🤷🏼‍♀️
The fact that this thought even crossed my mind is crazy... a yr ago if you would have showed me this pic I would have said oh hell ya, that’s me & I’m proud💪🏼
Competing has definitely set a new standard for myself in the perception of leanness but leanness does not equate to heart, fit, strength, health or even inspiration✨
Being shredded doesn’t all of a sudden make you a better person, stronger, healthier or even more inspirational! 
So instead of not feeling like you’re not enough bc you don’t feel ‘shredded enough’ remember you have much more to offer this world than your physique & you set your own standard of how you perceive ‘shredded enough’
You are strong, you are worthy and you deserve to be proud💕

It took a while for me to finally decide to be a respiratory therapist. Straight out of HS I didn’t really know what I wanted to do. I had in mind being a VET but in HS I didn’t have the BEST BEST grades so I belittled myself. It wasn’t until I was 22ish is when I got into respiratory. Working in the hospitality industry/ food before I decided something in medical really taught me a lot. It basically taught me to never work in the food industry or hospitality industry lol. It made me change my major from hotel
Management ( what I declared  right after HS lol) . I just selected that major to HAVE SOMETHING even though I knew I wanted to do something medical. I’m very thankful for learning that QUICK

Going through school was tough. Any schooling is tough.. but I knew I wanted a better future for myself and at that time .. for Mia. I never had a break. It was either school one day, work the next day or both on the same day. There were times where I wanted to quit and take the easy way out BUT i knew it wasn’t gonna get me anywhere that way. It was gonna give me the future I had planned .

This goes the same for your fitness journey. Times will get hard. You’ll be frustrated . You’re not seeing the results fast enough. You just gotta tell yourself it will get better. It IS for the better. You have the end goal and you will reach it.. it’s a matter of HOW BAD YOU WANT IT.

As soon as I graduated school is when I started my fitness journey. I started because my mother was always a gym “goer” and I joined along. My passion grew quickly when I started . .

Y’all, I swear nothing comes easy in life. You just have to work for it. Yes, some people’s lives may look great on SM but you honestly don’t know what they had to do to get there. Maybe they had an easy upbringing .. maybe they didnt. Work for your shit.. and you will have such a huge reward at the end of it ❤️

Было выделено пять типов пользователей: 👩‍💻 Независимые — без комментариев. 👩‍💻 Слабо зависимые — люди, посещающие свой аккаунт от случая к случаю или по необходимости, например, ответить на сообщение. Они живут нормальной жизнью, в которой соцсети не играют никакой особой роли. 👩‍💻 Переходный тип — могут «от нечего делать» зайти в сеть пару раз в день, чтобы развлечься, посмотреть фото друзей или перекинуться парой фраз. 👩‍💻 Сильно зависимые — практически не выпускают из рук планшет или смартфон, в котором обязательно есть приложения всех соцсетей, в которых они зарегистрированы.   • In January of this year I wanted to get back into the best shape of my life. I changed my diet to primarily plant based, threw away all of the processed food in my fridge and have been training hard AF.. Here is a 60 day body comp transformation pic on my progress so far - I dropped 8 pounds (2lbs of hair) and 4.5% body fat. I have never felt better and this is only the beginning! Thanks @meatfreemarialee and @tribefitvan. Looking forward to the next 60 days. #2019 #bestself #gains

There are clouds that often come in and dim our light or growth periods that may “feel” like we are not at our best. But you are always allowed to come out and shine. When you feel like a million bucks... like the fu*king goddess that you are.... your very best shiny self.... document every little thing about that moment. What did you do to feel that?   • Everyone is looking for the secret to nutrition.  But the truth is that most are just over complicating things in their quest for finding this “secret”. The reality is, the more simple you can keep things, the better off you will be!  Eat real foods in controlled amounts.  It sounds so simple that many overlook it as the answer.  But the more simple you can keep things, the less rules and exclusions, the more consistently you’ll be able to adhere.  And the more consistently you adhere, the more progress you will make!  You can’t say something didn’t work until you’ve given it a valid consistent effort!

  • Need vs Want

Every morning I wake up or I just get in from work and I get to see this happy little guy. My son keeps things in my life in perspective for me.

I WANT to be in better shape, I want to make more money, I want our family to have a big house someday, I want to go on vacations... I NEED to sleep, I need to eat, I need to make money to pay bills, and I need to care for my family.

Some days I go from work to home with my son and back to work when my wife gets home. That's our choice and it works for us.

I get maybe 1-2 hours of sleep on those days if Max takes a nap. I need sleep and do without it. I'm nobody special. Many people do this.

If we can say no to our needs for the good of our families and careers then it should be no trouble to suppress the wants.

We've all heard the expression to "sleep on it." More often then not, something I wanted one day I could care less about on another day.

Stay strong and conquer.

  • My body continues to amaze me each and every single day! It created and carried my beautiful baby for almost 41 weeks, birthed her and now is healing and adjusting better than I could have ever imagined. I know my body will never look the way it did before, but I’m 100% okay with that! I have extra flab and cellulite, I lost a lot of muscle everywhere, especially in my butt and legs, I have a few extra stretch marks but all that is totally worth it. Pregnancy has shown me a whole new level of confidence I never knew I had. •

4 more weeks till I hopefully get the okay to start working out again and I’m itching to get started! I’m loving this time off and all the snuggles but I can’t wait to start running and lifting heavy again. Till then, I’m trying to buckle down on my nutrition, water and trying to get walks in outside when it’s warm enough. I’m so excited to start working with @taracarlton_fit in the next few weeks to really dial in on my nutrition and help me get back to my pre pregnancy body!

  • It’s officially Spring ☀️ If you’re looking for a project this weekend, I’ve got just the thing. A healthy pantry makeover! This is one of my fave client sessions because not only do we make pantries pretty + healthy, but also functional + create more space! Here are the 6 tips I always follow:
