back from a family reunion/vacation to this beautiful pacific northwest weather. had some awesome food in san diego and los angeles, but nothing beats cooking over that live fire (except maybe a home cooked filipino meal by our mom). t-bones rubbed with a mix of @neilsarap dayum! rub, coarse salt and pepper. love the sound of that sizzle. happy first day of spring!

I hope you got your Rodeo fix because it’s gone, gone, gone! My favorite part about the rodeo is definitely the food, and while I usually go for the fried food this year I decided to try their barbecue. As a Texan I love my barbecue and I’m very particular about it. This overpriced, sliced brisket barbecue sandwich wasn’t quite the bite I was hoping for. I like my barbecue to be flavorful and more on the spicy side as opposed to sweet. This sandwich was too sweet for my taste and it lacked sauce! One of my biggest pet peeves is a dry sandwich and this was borderline dry. However, the brisket itself had the smokiness and tenderness I wanted so no complain there!! I give this sandwich: 6/10
