Meal two for me today. A large portion of my diet consists of seafood. I find it works best with my body, plus I enjoy it most. If you don’t like what you’re eating you simply won’t adhere to it for the long term. I don’t ever get tired of anything I eat daily !
Not pictured is a seaweed salad. I try to include seaweed into my diet at least once a week. Theres so many benefits of eating seaweed people are unaware of. From gut health, to carrying a substance known as fucoxanthin which known is to support weight loss, and also help improve blood sugar to prevent diabetes which is a huge problem in America.
Eating for taste is one thing, but eating for longevity and functionality is a completely different story. You guys know I’m not afraid to go to town on my cheat meals. However they are few and far between in order to live as long as I can and operate at 100% both in and outside of the gym mentally and physically. What an awesome day. Yesterday, we collaborated with Evanston Township HS and the Illinois Restaurant Assoc Educational Foundation — as part of ProStart’s 2019 Job Shadow Day, we hosted 4 amazing ETHS students to show them the ins & outs our business. From grab & go to our campus kiosk, they got to see a number of our operations. And they even got to try their hands at making summer rolls & prepping veggies!
Throughout the day, the themes of family, community, hospitality, and simply taking care of & helping others were staples of our dialogue. We couldn’t have been more impressed with these 4 rockstars — from their budding knife skills to their knowledge base 💯 (+1000 bonus points for all knowing what a mirepoix is 😂), the future is very bright for this next generation!
**Appreciation Post** I think one reason I am always biased towards @kinkipune is because it was the first place I went to when I first arrived here. And second reason is that I am a big #sucker for #panasian#food . They nail it all the time especially when it comes to #dimsums .
This post is specifically for their new " #Lamb and #Seaweed#Dumplings " which left me stunned today. The filling is so so juicy and flavourful that you will not be disappointed for paying such a premium price for it (Since I read it in reviews once). The fillings they use for four pieces will make atleast 14-15 market stall #momos mixed with cabbage shreds.

O obentô é uma tradição cultural tão forte no Japão que virou uma forma de expressão do amor e cuidado com um ente querido, como os filhos, não apenas preparando seu conteúdo, mas também deixando ele bonito e organizado.
Um dos nossos lugares preferidos de obentô é o recém-aberto @Nara_Obentô. O diferencial aqui é que a cozinha está cheia de ditians e obatians, preparando os pratos. O resultado não podia ser outro, a clientela é repleta de descendentes de japoneses que vem buscar este comfort food, com gosto de comida feita em casa.
Im so lucky to have some great friendships. I asked one of my friends if i could have her make me cookies for a party this weekend. She is a great baker and good at decorating. Not only does she make me gorgeous cookies, beyond my expectations, but she got me a wok that I have been wanting. AND not to mention, the details,...... the cute note and some of her favorite recipes! Love you Felicia! You are the best! ♥️

Coconut Beef Bowl from @chowannarbor - made with long grain rice, coconut beef, green coconut curry sauce, eggplant, purple potato salad, kimchi, pickled onion, coconut chips, & green onion! Flavors, colors, & textures were on fleek!
Chow Ann Arbor is a brand new restaurant that recently opened downtown on Liberty Street. It's an Asian-inspired, fast-casual spot where you can build your own rice or noodle bowls, Chinese sandwiches called Roujiamo's, and also get daily soups like their Hot & Sour Duck. If you're hungry, I highly recommend going with the "Full Size" bowl since the light bowl and the sandwiches will not satisfy a big appetite (menu currently featured in our story). The flavors of the bowl I built were truly phenomenal, and I could tell they use high-quality ingredients that were carefully selected to compliment each other. It's more expensive than your typical lunch spot that does bowls/sandwiches, but that's understandable since the ingredients they use are noticeably better than what you would find at other spots. It's as gourmet as you can get at a fast-casual restaurant. Really excited to have this new spot downtown and will be going back for more!
