If all goes to plan with my flights (YES staff travel dilemmas) I’ll be hitting up Vegas next Saturday with my gfs 🙌🏽💃🏼 Does anyone recommend any pool party spots? And also a good, but affordable Grand Canyon tour?

The last 2 times, I’ve been partying non stop so I’m 110% keen to finally sightsee this time, of course with a little party 😂

lately i’ve been thinking about my body image. it’s hard to not chase unrealistic expectations or a number on a scale but i’m just so damn competitive even if it’s with myself! best advice i’ve received this year is “be kind to yourself” and it’s something i’ve had to actively work on bc my anxiety loves to manifest negative, self-destructive thoughts if i let it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Been almost 2 weeks since the half marathon and I am finally back to lifting the way I like to lift. I didn't feel like myself for weeks leading up to the race. I was trying to give my knee time to heal so I could get thru the 13 miles. Focusing on only running caused me to fall into a rut. I was easing off on teaching the classes I loved, cut my high interval workouts, and stopped lifting heavy. Everything I did seemed to aggravate my knee so I just gave up. After 5 weeks of this half assed attitude and only running I didn't even recognize my body. Even with my strict diet change (no dairy, no sugar, no grains) to help drop the inflammation, my body morphed into a soft version of itself.  Well finally 12 days after I hung up those long distance shoes I feel my body slowly coming back. Most importantly I am enjoying my workouts again, I am back to pushing hard in my classes, I am feeling strong, and I am slowly starting to recognize my body again. I have a long way to go but looking forward to getting my summer shape back. #progressnotperfection *

  • Workin the B•O•O•T•Y!! There’s a whole lotta glute squeezes in these movements. Whose excited to try them out?! 🍑 🍑 🍑 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
1️⃣ Some banded barbell squats with sit downs. You’ll burn the quads when you get up from the seat and feel it in your bum when you squeeze tight when you stand up 🙌🏻
2️⃣ Kneeling squats with a band. Squeeze ya booty right each time! 
3️⃣ okay so these aren’t working you butt. BUT hamstrings are my favvvvv, i couldn’t resist! You’ll really feel the stretch with these dead lifts on the cables, especially because it’s elevated 😏
4️⃣ Banded hip thrusts with a barbell. A staple in my booty routine 🍑
5️⃣ Time for a booty burnout!! You’ll really feel a burn with these banded crab walks with a dumbbell into some squat pulses. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
